Terrible doctor
Got my ankle extensively 'fixed' a number of years ago by Dr. Sangeorzan and I struggle with it still today (6years later). He did a terrible job with the surgery, offered no PT when I was postop, and I asked about it was told 'it's just walking, you need PT for that?!) Well, Dr, it would have been helpful. Doctors since have questioned why he did the surgery the way he did it because it actually made things worse in the years since. I truly regret ever going to him. In addition, he was dismissive and pompous, which I could have looked past if he was a good doctor, which he is not.

I have seen Dr. Sangeorzan for years, now. He has fused two of my foot joints and I'll be returning for a full ankle replacement later this year. He is an excellent surgeon.

Dr. Sangeorzan's Fellow (Dr Walters) and Dr. Sangeorzan were very good. I appreciated that there were no unnecessary tests/studies. Just a brief exam focused on the injury and an explanation of the treatment protocol, and a printed form giving instructions for the next 4 months. Thank goodness I saw him or I may have ended up with surgery. .

In 1996 Dr Sangeorzan reconstructed my ankle. I was born with a club foot and was in my 20’s. I had spent my life walking on the side of my foot and Dr S was able to turn the foot so that it laid flat on the ground. This was a class done at UW with several students. I am now 50 years old and am so thankful for the ability to walk normally. I had over 10 surgeries as a child and none were successful in giving me the ability to walk correctly. I appreciate you so much! Jerri (Beason) Hawks

He was rude, arrogant, unapologetic, for how long the wait both in the office and in scheduling was. He would not listen to me and after telling me that my problem wasn't something that he could not fix he gave me NO advice as to where to turn to. He is FOR SURE one of those doctors who thinks he and his time is more valuable than yours. Highly unprofessional, or there again maybe highly "professional" Kudos to the assistant though
