Retired without passing on care or fixing issue
My sister was a patient of Dr. Burt. After performing a surgery that left her with pinholes in her lung he created a thoracic window (leaving a huge opening in her side). He followed her for a couple of years, eventually making the hole smaller but never completely closing her up. He retired and didn't bother reaching out prior or making an attempt to pass her onto another team that will help her. She is constantly being hospitalized from continuous infections from her exposed lung and no other doctor will attempt to help because of the extensive work and numerous amount of surgeries he performed on her prior to retiring.

Excellent doctor!!!
I was referred to Dr. Burt by my Gastrointeroligist and I couldn’t have been more pleased! He took his time with us and answered all our questions. His staff was always very responsive and courteous! Post op recovery was so smooth and I was back walking 4 days later! It couldn’t have gone any better!

I had over 5 visits with Dr. Burt prior to my surgery. The office staff was great and Dr. Burt was awesome. He spent time with me, never felt rushed. I never waited over 5 minutes before being seen. He is a wonderful surgeon and I'm so glad my doctors referred him to me. He performed an intricate surgery and I have healed beautifully.

Dr. Burt performed my RA Thymectomy in St. Lukes Hospital April of 2016. The surgery was totally effective in achieving its objective. I had no post operative infection. I believe Dr. Burt to be an expert at this proceedure. St Lukes intenstive care unit was a bit worrysome. I believe having a bedside advocate is recommended.
