Dr. Desouza has been an outstanding partner in treating the symptoms and after effects of my stoke. He is an attentive listener and always gives his full attention to the worries and questions presented. He has always offered alternative treatment plans that might be more helpful. His calm, charming and warm manner are extremely calming.

Excellent on January 25th! Having treated with Dr. DeSouza for several years he made me feel 5 years younger today. A consummate professional, with compassion and integrity. He spends the time with you to listen to what you have to say and discusses the potential remedies. He has the professional background and has received a variety of awards he also won a 2020 Practice Leadership Award from the Academy of Neurology .

Dr. DeSouza is one of the most thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate doctors I have met. He takes the time to listen, assess your issue and then figures out the best course of action. He has great follow up skills and also has staff that is responsive. I can only say that this experience has been very noteworthy.

Dr DeSouza is the doctor that other doctors send their difficult cases to. He is incredibly thorough, brilliant, and thinks outside the box. I could not believe the difference in the neurological exam he gave me compared to the first neurologist I had seen who just asked a few questions and gave me no answers. Dr DeSouza performed an extremely thorough neurological exam, and explained why various symptoms were occuring. He is very caring and spends as much time as is needed. He is truly a one in a million physician.

My mother has had chronic jaw pain for over a decade. She has seen multiple dentists and brought the issue to her primary doctors' attentions with little or no success in finding treatment. Finally, we were referred to Dr. DeSouza. He put her on new medication and, within weeks, we saw drastic improvement. Before seeing Dr. DeSouza, my mother had severe pain everyday throughout the day. She now has minimal, occasional pain that is easily managed. His office is professional and his interaction with my mother has demonstrated his thoughtfulness, warmth, and patience. I cannot recommend Dr. DeSouza highly enough.

I am so fortunate to have met Dr. Desouza! He is not only one of the nicest people you can meet, he is a superb neurologist! His knowledge of neurology is beyond anything I could have expected and he spent well over an hour explaining everything to me. He read all of my tests and ordered one new one for me and will see me again. We are so very fortunate to have such a wonderful, unusually knowledgeable neurologist at Lankenau! Barbara S. Bryn Mawr

Dr. Desouza is the most thorough doctor you can have. I had one doctor talk to me for 10 minutes diagnosed dementia and gave me a prescription all before my wife parked the car. Dr Desouza spent an hour discussing my symptoms and reports and diagnosed nerve problems that were impacted immediately with some injections.

Dr. De Souza is amazing! I've had chronic migraines for 12 years and have been to several neurologists including Jefferson Headache Center with no relief. No one took the time to examine me and explain what was going on nearly as well as he did. He did x-rays to help pinpoint what was going on. He also consulted with my other doctor, switched a medication I was on and got me off of some medications that were causing rebound headaches. I feel like I have my life back. I highly recommend him!

Dr. DeSouza is extremely caring and dedicated to his patients. His understanding of neurological issue is first rate. My family began using him when my mother had a stroke in 1998. Now I see him on a regular basis for spinal nerve issues. He is complete is his diagnosis, use of testing and treatment with medications. He goes above and beyond dealing with insurance company issues that are confounding everyone these days, as denials for prescriptions are rampant. He is the best!

My first appointment consisted of a detailed review of my medical history which he documented in detail followed by a series of tests and exercises which extended over a 2-hour (!) period. He then pre-scribed treatments that were intended not only to lessen the pain but to initiate the healing process. After 4 visits, I am almost entirely pain free. Throughout, I was impressed with his knowledge, profess-ionalism, and scientific approach to problem solving. Truly a GOLD star doctor and person.

He's very knowledgeable in his area and does great job of really focusing on individual patient and then explaining in normal language what is happening. He works hard to help patient achieve best outcomes given their health issues. He spends a significant amount of time with each patient. This is great when you're the patient but it means he is rarely on time for appointments. Just plan to wait a bit and he's worth it.

Dr DeSouza spends more time with his patients than any other doctor I've seen. He saw both of my grandparents when they were alive, he sees my mother for dementia and he now sees me, after a recent car accident. I trust him completely, and he is very responsive when I have questions. His bedside manner is amazing (rare!) and he thinks outside of the box.
