Brilliant Podiatrist/ Dermatologist Surgeon
Dr Markinson is a caring doctor & is dedicated to his profession. He has a vast knowledge of both podiatry & dermatology of the foot. He immediately knew I had melanoma of my big toe. He scheduled a team of doctors to attend to me & calmed my anxiety. Dr Markinson had to amputate my toe & did a great job. Thank you Dr. Markinson!

Excellent Doctor
I was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Markinson promptly. His office was efficient and courteous. The doctor was personable, considerate, and attentive. He did not rush the visit, and asked appropriate questions, as well as answering mine carefully and in detail. He explained the next steps clearly. I would highly recommend Dr. Markinson.

Dr. Markinson was incredibly personable with my son and made us both feel very at ease. He took his time to explain what he would have to do and was very patient with our questions. Highly recommend. The staff were pleasant as well, the wait was minimal, 10 minutes.

I could not connect with Dr. Markinson at all. He turns his back to you for most of the appointment, and asks irrelevant questions from your previous chart. I would never return to him, nor recommend him to a friend or relative. He has a kind of snobbery that I have seen in podiatrists over the years. He prefers serious cases, such as amputation, or anything related to surgery, but thinks any other course of action is way beneath him.

My experience was very good, although I did not know this back in 2010. The toe amputation needed was not what I expected. So I decided to wait. Now, 9 years later I can see that his method of amputating the first joint will be far superior than amputating the entire toe. So, i will now do the surgery with the knowledge that his method will be the best way of taking me out of my misery and making my foot feel comfortable. Dr. Markinson, I am confident that the surgery will be a success.

Dr. Markinson takes ample time during his appointments. He is expert in many areas of podiatry - including in my case, diabetic check ups. He explains options very well and lays out the pros and cons so a patient is well informed.
