Dr. Buffie Reid, MD

I have called numerous times to get answers to reports. They say they will call back but they never do. I call again and they say okay, they will get back, they never do. I also called for a referral to another specialist, said they would get back, never did. First appointment was in person, second was tele-med.

Horrible person and doctor. Dose not follow protocol on procedure prep. I have had at 8 endoscopy and she couldn’t follow what other doctors i have had in the past procedures. Worst doctor ever and her personality is that of a witch

Wonderful doctor with a great bedside manner. She listened to everything I had to say with a caring disposition and came up with a great plan to help me heal. The staff was also pleasant.

Very rude all she cares about is getting you money

I think Dr Reid is an expert in her field and a good doctor. I went to her in 2017 and 2024. She was personable and I trust her with my health care and what she recommends following my two procedures recently. It would be nice to see her for the follow-up appointment, set with the PA. I feel like she has firsthand info as she did the testing. I know this is what most doctors do now. You are getting competent medical care from Dr Reid and my daughter is scheduled to see her soon for a procedure. Highly recommend! She will find out what is going on!

Dr Reid misdiagnosed my daughter leading to years of pain abdominal pain multiple dr visits. Careless doctor who is there for the money.

Another review used the term 'conveyor belt GI' and that was the experience for me, too. No follow up with the actual doctor, and when I requested to speak to the doctor after abnormal test results, was told that would be very difficult to arrange. No labs follow up, no care follow up, just a strange appt with the PA. Months later, they still haven't contacted to divulge abnormal lab results that I could see on my own. Go to UF Health instead, or Mayo.

2 stars for Dr. Reid, dragged down to 1 star because of the staff. Don’t go to Dr. Reid if you want transparency, clarity, or any form of personalized care. I have dealt with many, many healthcare professionals, and I genuinely feel slighted and personally hurt by her level of disregard.

She is an excellent physician but her nurse controls access to her. She canceled an appointment I had and i literally ended up in the hospital with a life threatening emergency. Because this nurse has so much control over appointments I have not actually seen Dr Reid in a year. Unfortunately I will have to leave Dr Reid’s practice because of this nurse. I asked her to have Dr Reid call me on Dec 30. I have not heard from her. The nurse rescheduled an appointment I had for Dec 30. I entered the hospital that night in a critical situation. I was assured that I likely would not have been alive for the rescheduled appointment on Jan 9. The nurse would not listen when I told her how serious my symptoms were. I am also a nurse. I know that no nurse should have that kind of power in a Dr’s office. I lost an excellent Dr. Dr Reid I would still like to talk to you.

I have esophageal strictures and require endoscopies often. Dr Reid has been a gift to me understanding my condition. Dr Reid is compassionate, knowledgeable, and I trust her with my health issues.

I have many doctors due to health issues. Dr Reid is at the very top of the list.

I have been a patient of Dr. Reid for the past 9 years. She has ALWAYS taken my health issue as a top priority. I would recommend this Dr. to everyone.

Dr Reid is great. She listens and gives great care to her patients.

A good diagnostician and lacking in bedside manner. Being a high risk colon cancer patient, questions were many times not answered fully. Response from phone calls to her through her nurse were sometime answered and sometimes not. What I was told my her in her office did not match what the nurse told me Dr. Reid. When I asked the nurse for clarification, never received an answer. Not consistent. I was dismissed as a patient because I made an appointment with another Dr. For a second opinion.

She might be great with her patients, but a completely different person with the employees. Cares about no one but herself. Two faced

I had a terrible scare with my health and was seen by Dr. Reid while in the hospital... I was so impressed with her that I made sure to follow up with her after I left the hospital than my regular physician. I was in and out of her office easily, she took the time to discuss what happened and explain it best for me to understand... she has an awesome bedside manner... I would refer her to anyone having a gastric/intestinal issue. I will definitely see her again.
