Dr. Burt Steffes, MD

My husband had several Mohs surgery with him and Dr. Steffes was able to do the necessary plastic surgery the same day with phenomenal results! In our opinion, he is the best!

Dr. Steffes did a wonderful job (along with his team of 3 techs). I was in at 7am and out by Noon. Still early for results but everything went very well and things look great so far.

I have seen Dr Steffes for years. In my experience his appointments are always on time. He is very professional and easy to discuss concerns with. When he moved his practice 45 minutes away I followed due to his exceptional care. (In fact several staff who worked with him also left to follow him.) Prior to Dr Steffes I had several other Doctors as did my daughters. When I was searching for a new Dr for them who was good at lesion removal without leaving significant scarring, he was recommended by numerous people. A close friend of mine had a very serious large melanoma in a visible area removed and after the process you can hardly see where it was done. I would highly recommend.

He is always so friendly, office is clean, you can tell he loves what he does. I've been a patient for over 7 years now for everything from skin checks, acne, and cosmetic and have never had a problem.

Was a patient for years. There was an issue with a payment, Dr. Steffes' nurses cleared it up in a week. Made an appointment 3 months later. They made me wait an hour before Steffes came in and said he could no longer treat me because I stole from him. He said he was not a bank and could not "finance me" for a week and would no longer treat me. The amount in question was $250. I wrote a Google review about it, and he must have paid someone to take it down. Google reviews always stick and this one was legitimate. Apparently if you pay enough even Google can be bought off.

Not good. I have never been made to feel so terrible in my life. Had been going to him for 7 years. I thought he was all about helping people but he is more in it for the money. I had a fraud alert placed on my credit card and didn't know it. Went to pay and couldn't. After a stressful week of calls, I cleared it up and went in to pay his office. So far so good. Made another appointment 2 months later, waited an hour and a half to see him only to be denied treatment. He called me a thief and told me he couldn't treat me. Did his best to make me feel like absolute garbage. I guess "do no harm" does not apply to the patient's psyche. Nice guy until you have a payment issue for $250.

I had a small cyst on my face. Dr Steffes insisted that he needed to biopsy it and he would need to put in 1 stitch. He assured me this would have the best cosmetic outcome. When I got home and removed the bandaid I had not 1 but 3 stitches. He did a very sloppy job leaving a piece of skin out of the stitching which resulted in a permanent bump. He burst the cyst when cutting which resulted in the infected material dispersing so now I have a dime sized lump next to the scar.
