Dr. Cameron Patthanacharoenphon, MD

I had an appointment to see Dr. Cam on 2/4/25 for plantar fasciitis. When I got there, they wanted to take x-rays and I said I’ve already had x-rays done by my podiatrist, can you use those. I didn’t want to pay for a second set of the same x-rays. They were able to pull up the x-rays, but refused to use them. I explained the expense for additional carts was a concern. They provided me with an estimate for services before the doctor saw or spoke to me. This estimate included x-rays, the office visit, an injection and something else about aspiration, injection. This estimate is attached. Why are they already planning to do injections when they haven’t even seen me? I told them I just wanted to see the doctor and explain where I was having pain, including in my shin area in the muscles and he refused to see me without x-rays and refused to use my prior x-rays. This really doesn’t make sense to me. I’m guessing the x-rays are a good profit center for them. As I’m sitting by the door to the office typing this, everybody that walks in I hear them say walk this way to x-ray. I would recommend to skip this providers office and go somewhere else.

Over 4 years ago I had a broken elbow and I was recommended surgery. Dr. Cam assured me it would be a simple healing process and limited scarring. After the first surgery my recovery was long and the plates he inserted caused major problems. I ended up having another surgery to get the plates removed that he put in my elbow since they were MASSIVE and protruded. To this day I still have terrible problems with my arm/elbow even after the removal of the plates. My scar is HUGE and over 7 inches long. He also disregarded my latex allergy and used latex glue after my second surgery. I was covered in a rash for two weeks. I wish I could go back and avoid Dr. Cam altogether. He brushed off all my concerns in my follow up appointments telling me all my problems were normal. Seems strange that he told me this surgery would be simple if these problems are so “normal”.

I'm so very blessed and thankful that Dr Cam was on call when I broke my leg. I'm so sad that Grand Rapids and beyond is losing such a wonderful doctor. I wish him well. Thank you Dr Cam!! I wish I could give him more stars!!

Great bedside manner! Very talented surgeon. He's leaving the area and I can only hope my new foot guy is awesome as Dr. Cam!

Had wonderful initial visit, trying to get options on ankle issue. Our son is special needs and very anxious when it comes to medical issues and Dr. Cam understood and made him feel at ease, his parents as well. Gave us some options, keeping our best interests in mind. Dr. Cam did not push us to make a decision and wants us to fully understand the dilemma. Dr. Cam sat down , like he was a friend on a visit. Put our minds at ease. Came away from our visit with renewed vote of confidence in people dealing with special needs people, as the whole staff showed love to us. Now we just have to make a decision.

Everyone in this office was friendly & helpful. Dr Cam was very kind, patient, understanding & knowledgeable. He pays attention to detail & suggested several options for me to try for pain relief.

My experience with OAM has been incredible. I came to them with a broken heel in August. Dr Cam performed surgery and we were very impressed with the professionalism and quality of care. Post Op has been amazing as well. We are very grateful for Dr Cam and his staff!
