Dr. Camile Ortega, DO

We came to Dr. Ortega about some skin issues we haven't been able to get to the bottom of. It was suggested to explore allergin or immune issues as the cause. Our first visit with Dr Ortega gave us so much hope. She took the time to inspect my son's skin (even though she isn't a dermatologist, his dermatologist didn't even do this), took a very thorough medical history, asked us several questions, and ordered multiple labs to start. A thorough medical history taking, taking a reasonable amount of time to ask parents questions, and getting to know your patient so you can provide accurate individualized treatment is the minimum standard of care, but I have learned through this experience that, unfortunately, you're lucky to receive the minimum standard of care. My experience with Dr Ortega gave me hope and made me feel that she cared to at least try and get some answers. Our initial appointment was the most thorough appointment I have ever had with a specialist.
