Dr. Cara King, MD

Dr. Cara King was wonderful! I have had a few surgeries thought my life, but never met anyone as caring, thorough, skilled, and calming as Dr. King. Her and her team are the best! Dr. King found and removed things that I didn't even suspect that I had. She went above and beyond to fix anything she saw during surgury and thoroughly explained everything to me and my mother (who had a lot of questions). I would give her 20 stars if I could! I highly recommend her!

I first saw Dr.King after years-long struggle with infertility and a recent diagnosis of endometriosis. At first, she was great and answered all of our questions. However, the wait for the surgery was long (4+ months). The surgery itself was awful - painful, complications during recovery, and limited help from Dr. King and the nurse practioners. I was sent to pain management again, who essentially told me that my endometriosis is gone and other symptoms are not related. The last messages to the team (Mychart and phone call) were begging for help to stay out of the ER, and they went completely unanswered. Fed up with no responses and lackluster care at best, I found a new team in Columbus. This team is wonderful and repeated an excision surgery less than 7 months after mine with Dr.King. The new team removed all of my endometrisosis (that Cle Clinic told me was gone), as well as found and resolved many more issues. I would go elsewhere to find a caring and effective team.

Absolutely horrible experience. I was referred to Dr. King for endometriosis. Dr. King told me that I didn't have endometriosis and that my pain wasn't real. Since I saw Dr. King about 6 years ago, I have had 3 surgeries for endometriosis, completed many months of Lupron, and done other endometriosis treatments. I'm very thankful I found a surgeon who has been an excellent fit and my endometriosis is well managed now, but it's still traumatizing to think about what an awful experience it was when I met with Dr. King. In addition to her incompetency as a physician, she was also incredibly condescending and self-conceited.

Madison, WI is missing it's most skilled minimally invasive GYN surgeon. Dr. King was planning to move but stayed an extra week just so she could perform my surgery. I'm really glad she did because nobody is as talented as she is and I don't know what I would have done without her. Thank you.

She did a laparoscopic Hysterectomy on me. She is a phenomenal doctor. She explained everything and answered any and all questions. She is very friendly and caring. I would recommend anyone to Dr. King. She knew how anxious I was and reassured me even while in the operating room!

Dr. King is one of the absolute best people I have ever met. She is an amazing surgeon and you can tell she genuinely cares about her patients. I never felt better in my whole life after having surgery done by her.

She’s is terrible for endometriosis treatment. She’s literally so dumb and makes a lot of inaccurate statements..she’s one of those lazy doctors who just want to push ineffective, outdated methods for endo care - like mirena, birth control etc. she’s not a good person

I have been very disappointed by the poor communication and lack of followup from Dr. King. I have transferred to a different doctor. I am really disappointed at this level of care from the Cleveland Clinic.

I won't go into detail, but this woman LITERALLY gave me my life back. Amazing doctor, amazing skills, amazing person. I only wish I had found her years ago. If you have a need and are considering seeing her, do not hesitate. My only regret is not seeing her sooner!

Dr. King is amazing. She not only is a great doctor but she also sees and treats you like her most important patient.

Dr. King is wonderful. I had a large fibroid that I wanted removed, and she was recommended to me by my OBGYN for a minimally invasive laproscopic procedure. It was great to learn there were alternatives to traditional surgery, and Dr. King was able to take me on as a new patient and quickly get me scheduled. I couldn't be more pleased with my overall experience. She is very knowledgeable, and has excellent bedside manner. Professional, yet very personable. Would highly recommend!

Terrible experience

Dr. King is the warmest doctor I’ve ever worked with. My large uterine fibroid needed to be removed but I still wanted to have children. She and her team performed a laparoscopic myomectomy. She answered all of my questions and worked hard to ensure the procedure went well. Within hours of surgery I was up and walking; discharged the next day; and back at work two weeks later. She brings the latest techniques and information to her patients. I highly recommend Dr. King and her team.

i wish I had gone to dr. king years ago. I've had severe pain in my uterus for over 8 years and was misdiagnosed multiple times. i was referred to dr. king by a friend who had a tumor removed and loved her. and so do I. she spent so much time talking to me about my options and letting me know what each what meant. she ended up taking out my uterus and cervix while leaving my ovaries. i feel like i have a new lease on life! she is such a wonderful person and the staff was great too...

I could not be happier!!! An amzing experience with Dr. King turned my fears, safness and discomforts into a happy ending! I was suffering from extream crumps which made me naucious But the imaging could not show the reason behind of it. Dr. King has removed all rndometriotic- tissues that were formed on my stomach walls and also on every possible organ. It took two weeks for me to feel perfect! Our entire family is thankful for her correct diagnosis and perfectly removal of my problems!

Dr. King is amazing! Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, but she is compassionate too! She answered all of my questions without hesitation. She also spent an entire hour answering my questions. I have never met a doctor more caring!

Dr.King is not only a skilled surgeon but has excellent bedside manner. Because of her skill level she was able to remove a large fibroid laparoscopically, making my recovery much faster. She spent time going over my options and did a wonderful job answering to my fears and anxieties regarding my procedure.

I knew Dr King was the one for me when she laid out all of my options as plain as day - including the option to take no action at this time. She is the best communicator I've ever encountered in the medical system! We approached my surgery on my terms - including dealing with my pain without the use of narcotics. Everything went fabulously! I HIGHLY recommend her. Fantastic experience!

I had my surgery last month with Dr.King. I couldn't believe coming out the surgery with this few stitches and only took 4 days of pain pills, back to take care the house and the kids in a 1 week. She is just amazing not just as a doctor but as a person such a beautiful soul. Her Staff is awesome too if you had a question they will go out of their way to get the answer for you. Higherly recommended and we very lucky to have her here in Madison.

Dr. King was most knowledgeable. She took time to answer all my questions, and even explained things I hadn't asked--taking me through all the steps of the process, as well as alternatives should tissue results be positive for cancer. She was so kind and caring--all her staff were. I loved her sense of humor and bedside manner. Thank you, Dr. King.
