Dr. Cara Pendley, MD

This lady sat down, listened to me and had a genuine interest in where I’d been neurologically, what my hopes were for improvement, and lastly, how she might help me understand my current state and what she could do to help me improve those issues. I found her / find her now, to to be caring and desirous of helping others. I’ve had three spinal fusions and a discectomy from one of the top neurosurgeons in our country. He probably kept me out of a wheelchair, but surgeons in my opinion are better at surgery than they are at healing. This Dr. Pendley takes a position of - How can I help you be the best physical version of you? That is exactly what I’ve needed for about the last 15 years and I made a mistake in not pursuing that end diligently. Dr. Cara Pendley is excellent in that regard and I’m thankful for the active interest she’s taken in my healing.

I've been seeing Dr. Pendley for close to a year and a half now and I've not had a single appointment where she hasn't spent at least 45 minutes + with me, "face-to-face" time, not "waiting to see her" time. She is genuinely concerned about what's going on with me and has promised to figure out the root of my problems.

Dr Penalty seemed pretty excited about diagnosing me with epilepsy, or a type thereof. Even gave me a huge RX for seizure medication. Told me I couldn't drive, part of my brain had sclerosis, could have a spot on my brain but she couldn't really see it, but "here is a RX anyway because I'm not really sure how to treat you". So I went to Semmes Murphy and got a second opinion. Guess what? NOTHING wrong with my brain, no sclerosis, no spot, clean bill of health. Why ??
