Great Physician and wonderful staff
Great experience! Dr Cordell did surgery that I was nervous about and she was kind and considerate, explained everything and made me feel comfortable.

Caring and informative
My 87 year old mother fractured her femur and I had a lot of concerns about exactly what her treatment options and after surgery care plans would possibly entail I wanted to make certain mother’s treatment was the best for her specifically and not just “what we usually do “ Dr Cordell was kind, patient and very specific she was able to tell me what about my mom’ case was behind her decisions and won my trust with her answers When she finished mom’s surgery and tried to brief me my phone was out But she kept reaching out till she tracked me down with the good news I found her very caring and a blessing

Bad bedside manner
No care for patients, no concern for injury or pain will tell you nothing is wrong without even listening to any issues, go to orthopedic center of hot springs where they will actually help you... they repaired a torn rotator cuff torn labrum and torn bicep for me after she insisted nothing was wrong

Poor bedside manners.
Gave me the run around on my shoulder, PT/OT, was telling me it was my neck. Was not after seeing a neurosurgeon. Back to her, was told there was nothing more she can do, she was done. Got another opinion and finally getting the surgery needed.

I found Dr. Cordell to be very professional in every way, from the first visit. I had severe arthritis in my left shoulder and had tried many other things and the pain got worse!!! She operated on me on Aug 26th. for a reverse shoulder replacement operation. I am doing so well that the physical therapy staff can't believe it (neither can I). She has always answered all my questions. Her assistant Kim has been quite responsive and quickly responds to any and all issues I had.

She repaired my rotator cuff which has held up now for 2 years letting me kayak and getting my physical life back. What I remember most is her praying with me and family and finding solutions so I wouldn’t need so many pain meds during the initial recovery. Excellent surgeon with great bedside manner. Down fall... too booked to do my new shoulder injury.

Dr. Cordell performed surgery on my shattered tibia and fibula. I'm not from Hot Springs. I live in Austin, Texas and was vacationing near Hot Springs. The way I understand it, she skipped her only break for the day and another obligation to fix my leg. I so appreciate what she did for me! This was a two surgery situation. When I returned to Austin and found an orthopedic surgeon here, he was very impressed with the work Dr. Cordell had done. He said she did a beautiful job putting my leg back

Dr Cari Cordell is the best of the best in orthopedic surgery. She has operated on myself, my husband and daughter. She is caring, compassionate, gentle and knowledgeable. She takes her time to listen and genuinely cares about you. I trust her with my life and my families life when surgery is necessary.

As others have stated, the Dr. has poor bedside manners. Went in as a referral for a complete tear on my roatator cuff. She basically told me nothing she could do, no surgery to repair. Only told me to do PT !! Most Dr.s at this CHI are getting very bad with patients!!

I had to see dr Corredell. . she was recommended from my orthopedic surgeon that messed up my hand surgery ( arthroplasty) . the first time I met her she was extremely rude to me. I tried to find another hand specialist but we did not have one in town. She did my surgery after my surgery The occupational therapist took out my stitches. at my six week check up she told me She was done, and walked out of the room .I was still in a lot of pain could not move my hand and was still in a splint

Dr. Cordell has treated me a couple of times now - once for a splinter that had some type of weird fungus and a few years later for a couple of badly broken fingers. She is very good at what she does - her nurse is equally as good at her job and together they make a great team, both knowledgeable and caring. Highly recommend, although personally, I hope I don't have a need to see her for any more injuries!

I had a trigger finger ailment that required treatment. Dr. Cordell used a conservative approach of steriod shots before considering surgery. Her ultimate surgical treatment was successful and I am extremely pleased that I can use my hand again for piano playing. She treated me with respect and compassion and answered all questions in a thoughtful manner! Highly recommended!

Dr. Cordell is great! I had received poor treatment resulting in a non-union clavicle which resulted in reconstructive surgery in the past. Knowing this she went the extra distance to assure me I was in good hands. She delivered in surgery and was excellent at explaining the procedure I would have and also with excellent color photos from the scope surgery she performed on my shoulder. 11 days since my surgery and therapy conveniently located next to her office is going great. Thank you Cari !!

Dr Cordell is absolutely the best! She is very helpful, patient and kind at all times. She never rushed or cut corners. We was facing a rough surgery where my husband had arthritis so badly...he was looking at loosing a thumb. His bone was gone due to arthritis but she managed to use a piece of a tendon from his upper arm & used it placing it inside his thumb to save his thumb. ?? He had a double carpel tunnel with 6 weeks recovery in between. She is great! We will always use her.

Being referred to Dr Cordell was a huge mistake. I waited for a month to see her as she is a specialist. 4 months into this I am praying that I don't have permanent damage. Disrespectfull attendant delivered me to my room jumping me bc an initial pain from my thumb to both arms up to my shoulders. Her words "they don't treat multiple symptoms?' I walked away with a 5 minute evaluation and she would only write OT treatment for one side of my body. I now have 2 PT charts w/double charges.
