Prompt, thoughtful and caring.

Dr. Carl and his entire staff are totally professional, and performed my colonoscopy procedure flawlessly. All follow up documentation and photos were detailed and easy to read.

Dr. Calandra was recommended by my PCP 5 years ago and my recent procedure was a followup by Dr. C for my second visit. Prep instructions were clear and the colonoscopy procedure was quick and thorough. I recieved the results before leaving the hospital and know there was no delay in reporting those results to my PCP. It was a pleasure dealing with his practice for a procedure that most patients dread.

Dr. Calandra is a hack. This man tore my colon while giving me a colonoscopy. I wouldn't recommend this bozo to my worst enemy. The doctors at Rush had to clean up his mess.

The staff was wonderful. They got me in and out without too much waiting. Dr Calandra was very down to earth and plain spoken. Would absolutely recommend.

Everyone was so nice and welcoming. This was my first time getting a colonoscopy and I was nervous but the nurses and doctor were very friendly and put me at ease. The whole process was explained to me and what to expect from start to finish. Dr. Calandra was easy going and really had a comforting demeanor.

He listens to you and pays attention to what you are saying.

Makes colonoscopy an easy experience.

I had my 6th colonoscopy at Uchicago/Advent Hinsdale Hospital. The prep worked very well and was much more palatable than having to take GoLYTELY. The whole process from check-in to being wheeled into the pre-procedure room went very smoothly. I briefly met Dr. Calandra prior to the procedure, and I found him to be very pleasant and professional. I was pleasantly surprised to know that my previous write-up of findings from Uchicago was available for him to read prior to the procedure. When I woke up after the procedure, I was given a very detailed summary of the findings, which I considered to be outstanding. I then met Dr. Calandra, and he further explained the findings to me.I found Dr. Calandra, the nurses, the anesthesiologist, and the rest of the staff to be very nice and professional. For a taxing medical exam, I found the whole process to be much better than expected.

Dr. calandra was very professional. He went over my GI history and explained the colonoscopy prep and procedure completely. Very thorough!

Professional attitude, procedure went as played with no issues. All employess were attentive and professional.

Dr Calandra listened to patient comment and answered in easy to understand language. He did not waste time, but he covered the patient's expressed concerns.

My internist referred me to Dr Calendra for a colonoscopy. I left a message for scheduling for the procedure. After 12 days receiving no return call, I stopped in to schedule the procedure. The receptionist apologized, took my information and told me that scheduling would be in touch in 7 to 10 days. After 12 days I called the receptionist to ask for her help. After 2 days scheduling called to offer an appointment 2 days out (due to a cancelatio) or 2 1/2 months out. The procedure started 40 minutes late, after I arrived 45 minutes early as requested. Dr. Calendra and staff were professional and cordial. I had no side effects from the procedure or the anesthesia.

When I came into the office I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. My appointment was for 1:15 and didn’t wait a second. Dr. Calandra greeted me personally and went to a room where we discussed my situation and concerns. I love this guy. He’s so down to earth. After my consultation, I mentioned my wife was having issues and that her appointment with him ( mid September) was maybe too far out. He introduced me to Jenny and she went to work to try and see what she could do. Turns out someone had canceled a next day appointment , so now my girl can get checked out by Dr Calandra tomorrow… WOW ! Thank you Dr. and Jenny . Dr Calandra is professional, thorough & has a great bedside manner. After my visit he recommended a scope of upper & lower GI to be thorough. At procedure he answered all my questions & calmed my fears. His staff is great too. Friendly, explain things b4 they do it & comforting. Glad I found a new GI doctor I can count on.
