Dr. Carl Foulks, MD

I was surprised to see negative reviews regarding Dr. Foulks. I found him to be personable, patient, caring, and willing to address my concerns. Of course, my medical concerns are private however suffice it to say he understood better than many other physicians how to treat me, the whole person not just the medical issue. Many specialists only want to treat the 'part' in which they have training with little regard for the human. This is not Dr. Foulks. I've followed him when he has moved from one medical practice to another and if he continues to practice in Iredell county I will try to search him out. If he is off to climb mountains and other adventures I wish him well!

I had an appointment scheduled that was known to be rather important. My appointment was canceled via a voicemail at the last minute on a Friday with no assistance in rescheduling, or advice what my next step should be? I tried calling back immediately after the voicemail was left, I left two voicemails, with no return call. When I finally spoke with the office staff again Monday morning, I asked how do I know if my situation is urgent enough for the emergency room, they said that’s up to me to decide.Where is the professionalism? Where is the customer service?

Dr. Foulks came across as arrogant, short and unfriendly. He didn’t listen to what I had to say and made assumptions about what we were dealing with without entertaining external factors. He seems to use BMI as an end all be all, knowing that this doesn’t take activity level, bone density or muscle mass into consideration. It was an overall unpleasant experience and I will be looking elsewhere for my upcoming GI needs.

I was being treated incorrectly by my GP to clear up a very serious gut infection. I felt like I wasn't going to make it! I ended up in the ER and after admission was assigned Dr. Carl Foulks. What a blessing he has been!! It's been a year now and he got me through that alive. Now struggling with GERD and continued post infectious IBS but he's all over that too! He uses the latest procedures and medications bc he stays current. He is busy but he is still thorough! He doesn't miss a thing. I would recommend him to all my friends and family! A special shoutout to Nurse Stacy. She is an amazing caring woman.

Great visit with Dr Carl Foulks. It was great to have a Doctor to be so thorough and take the time out to address your concerns.

I am a patient of Dr Carl Foulks. My experiences with him has always been professional and caring. When I moved out of the area of Statesville, it became too far for me to drive. I made appointments with other doctors and cancelled before going. I was so happy when I found Dr Foulks had relocated to Mooresville. He is worth the drive from Lincolnton to Mooresville. Dr Foulks takes the time to listen to my health concerns he is truly one who loves what he does and it shows in every visit. I love my Dr Foulks he really cares. I needed an appointment fairly quickly after an ER visit and they accomadated me. I had the procedure done at Davis Regional Hospital and the care was excellent. Dr Foulks took time to talk to my husband about what he found and made recommendations.

My husband n I both have him as our Gastrologist n we love him.

Egotistical. Insecure. Unprofessional. Condescending

Staff is very friendly, Dr. Foulks is a great doctor! I received follow up phone calls from his staff to make sure I was doing well my medications.

DR. Foulks is an excellent gastroenterologist. Had a colonoscopy performed by Dr. Foulks.Good experience with him and his staff. Would recommend him to anyone.
