Dr. Karr is AMAZING!
Dr. Karr was my daughters Pediatrician from ages 12 weeks to 11 years old. Never had not even one bad experience in all of the years that he treated my daughter. Great bedside manner. Very kind and gentle with the littles! I highly recommend Dr. Karr and his team.

Difficult for new patients
I tried to schedule for my son. The receptionist stated that Dr. Karr did not accept our insurance (AETNA). Ok. No problem. I went on AETNAs website and it said that his partner (Dr. Rose) takes AETNA... Same office, Same receptionist... I called back. I have to have the medical records mailed to their office and give time for the doctor to review the files before I can even schedule an appointment... I asked if I could deliver the records and was told that "Yes...If you WANT to do it that way... but the doctor still has to review the file so it would still be a while before we could schedule an appointment"... It is 2022. open ended scheduling and unhelpful. Unfortunately cannot leave a review for the doctor because we can't wait weeks for a call back once the files have been mailed and reveiwed.

As a single Dad raising 7 children alone, I was extremely grateful to have Dr. Karr as our Pediatrician. When presented with an illness, broken bone, allergies, etc., his office has ALWAYS made time for me to bring a child to the office. The staff KNOW your child and have been there for some time-the comfort level during visits is high. Additionally, this practice has extended and weekend hours and undoubtedly is there for families like mine! I couldn't think of a better Doctor to suggest to anyone who has a child in need of medical help or routine exams!

We LOVE Dr. Karr and everyone at his office. His nurse is our absolute favorite - my kids know she loves them! Dr. Karr is very laid back and Kees me from worrying. He has guided us through the 11 years our children have been seeing him. He always takes the time to answer questions and is very thorough. With new insurance, Dr. Karr is out of network, but we are happy to pay the full cost so we can still see him. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Dr Karr is a fair physician in my opinion. We have been going there for a little over 2 years and if my children required more than well checks and immunizations, we would probably go somewhere else. I'm not sure if he actually assesses my children or just goes through the motions, doesn't ask if I have questions or concerns, just leaves the room. Never received any preventative or safety information or teaching. His nurse is horrible and should not be in pediatrics, so unhappy all the time.

I have four kids 18, 16, 14, and 1. Dr. Karr is our primary physician but we will gladly use dr. Rose if Dr. Karr is unavailable. We LOVE dr. Karr, dr. Rose and the staff. I have been with them for many many years and I wouldn’t even consider taking my kids anywhere else. I feel like family when we go. I always recommend Dr. Karr to anyone needing a pediatrician, and several of our friends have switched to Dr. Karr! He is THE BEST!!!!

Dr. Karr is AWESOME! My husband and I are both beyond happy with him. He is patient, has a sense of humor, and puts our minds at ease about our kids health. My daughter has been very sick a few times, and after the initial appointment, he asks us to bring her back by (the next day or two), just so he can have another look and make sure she is getting better, and he doesn't charge for those "drop by" appointments. We've never had to wait long either - which is a good thing with a sick child.

My 2yo who'd been sick for several days, had been crying from the moment we walked in (with reason: Strep!). After the rude nurse dismissed us, he came in and with no introduction went on to talk about my child's dramatic entrance. He never once tried to talk to my kid and proceeded to poke and shove a stick down their throat. My child continued to quietly cry. To top it off Karr gave me a lecture on how bad a mom I was for letting my child cry like that, turning them into a spoiled brat. :(

Dr. Karr has a great bedside manner but is very old-school minded. If you practice attachment parenting or natural parenting, you will probably not get along with him. He is against extending breastfeeding and does not do delayed vaccines. The staff is awful. The receptionist was very rude on more than one occasion and the nurses are ROUGH. One shoved our toddler down on the table to shove a full syringe of medicine in his mouth quickly, he was choking and hysterically crying after!
