Best of the best!
Dr. Sgambati always goes above and beyond with both my husband and me. He is very thorough, knowledgeable and NEVER makes you feel like he is in a rush. I had the same family doctor for 30 plus years before he retired and then I started seeing Dr. Sgambati and never looked back.

Most Arrogant Indifferent Dr Ever Encountered
Dr. Carl stopped seeing me as soon as we lost our Cadillac Health Insurance Plan coverage. He cannot be bothered with writing justifications to our Blue Cross plan administrators who like to challenge just about everything. Have not actually seen him in person in more than 5 years, handing me off to the PA's or Nurse Practitioners of the practice, who are actually quite good, but no substitute for seeing a Dr. once in a while. Always found Dr. Carl to be mostly arrogant and dismissive. He can put on the charm when needed but cannot sustain it lacking the motivation or patience to do so. Will be locating another provider ASAP.

Carl is always thorough, kind, and professional. Earlier this year I needed a shoulder injection for a bit of chronic pain. He talked me through it and I was fine. He and his PA Nancy have cared for us for 8 years now and we love and respect them both. Highly recommend.

I have been seeing Dr. Sgambati for at least six years now. He is very professional, he is extremely knowledgeable, Doesn’t rush you at all...he listens to everything I have to say… He takes his time. ....my adult son just started going to him and also feels the same way about Dr.Sgambati my son was very comfortable after transitioning from a pediatricians office. He has always been extremely thorough. I can talk to him about anything. I have a friend who is also a patient and has been for many years and feels the same way. I feel like it’s also important to mention Dawn and the girls upfront are always pleasant and very helpful as well as the nurses.

I have found the doctor to be very unwilling to work with my other doctors. He is not really familiar with autoimmune disease and the medications that treat them. The nurses and NP's are wonderful as is the staff.

When I started seeing Dr. Carl I was excited to have a doctor who really listened to me. As time went on though I learned he is quite arrogant and is definitely the smartest person in the room, at least he thinks he is. His patience has waned over the years while his ego has grown. He treats patients with such condescension that I can no longer see him or recommend him. It is really too bad.

Carl is a caring doctor who cares about his patients. He will answer any questions and follow up as necessary. To avoid unnecessary expenses, he will schedule annual checkups but no additional visits unless it is required for your health. He was so good when I mentioned my friend was ill but waiting for me (she is also a patient) when he finished my appointment, he went out to the waiting room to inquire about her condition. Screwup with the office staff prevented a test being scheduled.

At first Carl is very caring, especially when he wants you to come back every week or 2, but when you need to see him, he cancels your appointments and doesn't have his nurses call you back. When you question as to if he really cares about your well-being, he drops you as a patient.

Dr. Sgambati is one of the smartest, doctors I've ever known; and I've worked with many. He is kind, empathetic, knowledgeable and offers insights no prior doctor ever thought of. You never ever feel rushed. I can't say enough good things about about him as a doctor or a human being.

The first time I saw him, he was fantastic. He seemed caring, empathetic, personable, knowledgeable--all the good things other reviewers have said. I was thrilled to have found a great doctor. I saw him at least 4 times after the initial visit, & it all went downhill fast. He was abrupt, indifferent, incredibly condescending, & dismissive.
