Life changing!!
Dr. Shin and his team literally changed my life. His knowledge of Neuroplasticity is second to none. Together with his team at Keystone functional therapy, I feel mentally, physically and emotionally ready to see myself as empowered enough to change my thinking and my control over myself. In short, I am a FAR better person for having been in the program and I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this group of doctors lead by Dr. Shin for anyone with chronic pain.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Shin for a little over 2 years. I opted for spinal fusion and a cage insertion in January of 2021. I recently attended Dr Shin’s Keystone Functional Restoration Program. It’s a 7 week course that is not for a person who is negative or a complainer who isn’t willing to try to get their old life back. The program is not a miracle cure. If you prefer to rely on medication, also not for you. If you want to move again and have part of your life back, then do this program! You will be pushed and motivated. The best part is being part of a team with people who can relate with your pain experiences. The staff are fantastic. Mentally and physically you will learn. Movement is the key! Combined with nutrition education and knowledge of Neuroplasticity, you will learn what it takes. If you expect to be fixed or are attending because your attorney or insurance says, then do it with an open mind. I have a better outlook & have started doing old activities!!

I came into the 7 week program as referred and approved via workers comp. I was very skeptical and was pleasantly surprised. I am about to wrap up the program and feel a lot more confident in my ability to manage my pain through multiple lectures, physical training and just being around a team and cohort that is in a similar situation. It also gave me a sense of normalcy and schedule, which I hope will transfer over into my life. I hope to keep moving, reinforcing and learning about my own mental health and body, and this program gave me a different approach to pain management. The staff is there to help and are good at what they do.

Very positive and informative... had to wait 6 weeks for the appointment but worth the wait. He listened carefully and made the correct diagnosis, after being seen and treated by alternate occupational medicine and PM&R physicians. Would recommend a consult . Very friendly staff.

Carl Shin runs a dishonest, disappointment of an establishment from the receptionist to the phony so-called doctor's that he employs. I dare call him a doctor simply because I'm not seen as a patient. Misplaced files, misplaced MRI's, along with the phony reports that he generates to lessen the validity of your injuries to appease WC. He's simply a puppet for workers comp. BEWARE of this quack of a doctor. You will be sorry!

I was a patient of his functional restoration program at Professional Drive for 6 weeks. This program was special to me because of the education and exercises missing in my life to deal with chronic pain and make the best choices in my future. This program is a smorgasbord of help to deal with chronic pain and how to see the doctor's role.

Insurance company best friend. This office will do or not do whatever your company insurance carrier wants them to. With no regard for patients well being or health. Dr Shin will tell you one thing and then tell insurance companies totally different info. They are not there for you.

Dr Shin is wonderful. He's so easy to listen to and FULL of knowledge. He has always encouraged me to manage my pain with exercise and to rise above it (sometimes to my dismay). There may be things that I can't do, but there are many things that I CAN do. Thank you Dr Shin for believing in me and for your passion of encouraging and inspiring.
