Outdated medical practices
Dr. Picardo is making Hormone replacement therapy medication decisions based on archaic research. She arbitrarily changed my dose that was working perfectly & without any kind of testing & set my entire body into a rapid decline. It took me a year to find a hormone specialist to fix the damage she did. I gained 30# and was absolutely miserable. I am 8 months into a new treatment & still haven't reversed the damage she did. At the time, I called her on the outdated research she was quoting she disagreed then ignored me. Recently I took an online seminar from a highly acclimated nationally know women's organization & found out I was right. In the past year even the woman's health organization has also admitted that the dangers of HRT they had been advising doctors about was wrong. The new research is out there, but if a doctor won't even consider it, they are practicing outdated medicine.

From the moment she delivered my 3rd baby and through my postpartum care I knew that No other doctor would ever give me so much care, assurance and professional advice. I recently had a surgery ans she did wonderful throughout the whole process. I love her small practice and the fact that she takes time to get to know her patients and their medical histories.

About Me

care philosophy

I like to emphasize the overall health and well being of each woman. I believe we need more prevention in healthcare rather than reacting to problems after they develop. I try to educate each woman I meet about her current health concerns as I believe this is empowering.
