Dr. Carlos Alejo, MD

I recently underwent a laparoscopic sigmoidectomy under the direction and care of Dr. Alejo.His care and attention to patient knowledge and comfort is unparalleled. I would recommend Dr. Alejo and his entire staff to anyone in need of any surgery, robotic, laparoscopic, or otherwise.After the surgery he personally comes to check on your progress and you feel that he really cares about you and your situation. His entire staff is beyond professional and courteous. 5 stars, definitely recommended!

Dr. Alejo is awesome, unfortunately his front desk staff (Carmen) is very rude. This is the first person you see before your visit and it does not look good for the practice!

Dr Alejo and his staff were wonderful. I saw him yesterday morning for the first time, having been referred for a surgical consult and exam before a biopsy. He and his staff were so kind, caring and professional. He told me he was slammed with meetings and surgery in the afternoon and probably would not be able to do my biopsy the same day. He could see that I was nervous and scared so said, wait, let me consult my staff and see if we can fit you in this afternoon. They scrambled around to get pre authorization from my insurance company and I got a call about an hour or so later that they could fit me in at 4:00. Although I had to wait until about 5:30 as he was stuck in surgery, he was true to his word and did the biopsy. They went above and beyond while trying to put me at ease, keeping me informed every step of the way and apologizing repeatedly for the wait time. I have nothing but good things to say about this practice.

He's very thorough and explains everything, always concerned about your well-being.

Dr Alejo performed a surgery to remove part of my lower intestine due to a chronic condition. I was very apprehensive about this surgery, but he did a fantistic job and I am very grateful that he was my surgeon. As other reviews have stated he is very thorough in how he explains things to patients. Also he and his nurse Cody both have a fantistic bedside manner. They actually listen to you and make changes as needed. I must note that I am not a big fan of our medical providers for many reasons. Most are overpaid pill pushers! For Dr Alejo I would recommend him to anyone because he cares about the patient more than the billing and money .

I love this man! He went above and beyond when all others wouldn't. He has been there for me thru some hard medical times for me and didnt leave me alone just cause i didn't fall into the "normal" category for patients. He listened and had a lot of patience with me. He gets 5 stars from me. His staff is wonderful also. Never leaving me to have to worry about my care. I love this doctor and is staff. He is a wonderful Dr. Thank you for all you have done for me.

Dr. Alejo went more than out of his way to help us with a medical emergency. Caring, kind, and compassionate individual with competent knowledge. Thanks to him, he got us some answers quickly.

The best surgeon in Okeechobee and surrounding counties! He is very personable and will drop what he is doing to come to your rescue! The best bed side manners I have ever seen in a physician! I highly recommend him to anyone young or old!

Dr. Alejo is a wonderful caring doctor his wait times are crazy but he is worth the wait. He has always kept me informed when it comes to my procedures and problems he genuinely cares.

Dr. Alejo and his staff went above and beyond! I have nothing but great things to say about them and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a general surgery consult. The only complaint was wait time in his office but after speaking with him we realized he had emergency cases to take care of that morning, it wasn't because he overbooked.

The wait is worth it for this amazing physician.
