I aAdvise against choosing Mr. Carlos Arias as your primary care physician for you and your family. My mother was his patient of ella since 2009 and during the final stages of her life of ella, when she needed his services and compassion of ella the most, he behaved indifferently by refusing to prescribe any medication that could have alleviated her anguish and suffering from her. She was showing signs of Alzheimer's or senile dementia, and instead of providing appropriate care, he only referred her to a neurologist. Unfortunately, due to issues with the healthcare system in Manatee County, she had to wait months for her first appointment with a specialist. Tragically, my mother passed away without receiving a mental health diagnosis while waiting for her neurology appointment

No rushed with first time patient
He was nice but I felt that he rushed throughout my visit and I had to remind him of why I was there. I felt unattended as he was trying to rush through my visit.

Service
I have never felt the way I did with a doctor until I met doctor Arias. He was very rude when talking to me. He gets mad and takes it out on you. He has very little respect for anyone but himself.

A Half Star Rating Would Be a Gift
Dr. Arias was arrogant, hostile, callous, rude, dismissive, incoherent, and useless. Dr. Arias refused to make even the slightest effort to discuss the problem I came in for or the problem I'd been seeing him for. I won't be back.

Excellent Doctor
My family is new to Florida and because I have some medical issues I needed a Primary Care Doctor asap. Dr Arias and his staff accepted my family and has been taking good care of us ever since. He has ordered several exams and procedures for my wife and me. He discovered a life threatening situation with me and sent me to an excellent surgeon to correct it. He makes certain all our visits and tests results with other Drs are sent to him and he has compiled the most accurate medical profiles for my wife and I. We feel very well cared for with him as our Doctor and highly recommend him to all our friends. His practice like many in Florida is always busy but he takes his time with every patient regardless.

Clinic’s reception.
My assessment refers to the service provided by the clinic's Reception. the service is bad. I'm a new patient, I tried to make an appointment by phone and they had to return and they didn't, I went to the clinic and they had to return to schedule an appointment for June, they didn't return. Hone I went to the clinic again to have a placement and the receptionist said that I could only schedule it for September. Very negligent with the patient, I was bullied for all this time, I've been trying to make an appointment for 20 days, I could have already consulted with another doctor and solved my problem.

Existing patient, No longer...
I have been a patient of Dr. Arias for 15 years. My last visit was shortly before the chaos of COVID-19 that changed everything. The office policy turned into a required proof of negative test result prior to the visit in order to be seen. Now if I need to get a PCR test done the day before an appointment from an urgent care in order to see my doctor I would be a fool to not just let the urgent care doctor perform an exam. As a result I have not been in nearly 3 years. I was moved to the inactive patient list. Now that most things have calmed down I attempted to make an appointment last week and was told we needed DR. Arias's approval, ok great. 7 days later I call to find out what's up and am told NO with no explanation at all, aside from the sorry from the nurse on the phone. This seems insane as I was not one to cancel and reschedule appointments at the last minute. I find this behavior to be disgusting to say the least. Very Disappointed former patient.

I would leave zero stars if I could. I would of been a new patient but because of my demanding schedule I had to cancel my appointment twice with at least a weeks notice. The second time I called I was told that Dr. Arias would not allow me to reschedule and refused to see me as I canceled my appointment twice. I have never heard of any physician denying a patient care and I am sure glad I don’t have a medical emergency because if it didn’t fit into his schedule he might be too busy to treat me.

Excellent provider. Cares about his patients. Gives you the attention you need. If he doesn't know what is wrong he refers you to who can help you and doesn't stop until he knows. If you are in the hospital he makes visits to check on you. Stays in touch with everyone involved. Makes everything easy for the patients experience. You put your life in his hands he will do all he can to get you on your way back to being healthy.

My elderly uncle was a patient of Dr. Arias. He was dismissive, not patient friendly and didn't appear to be fond of or care about older adults. When he visited him in the rehabilitation center he didn't introduce himself and it is unclear whether he visited him in the hospital. He didn't communicate with him. When he was paged late at night in the hospital, he failed to answer the page for 3 and 1/2 hours. I personally would not chose him as a physician for myself or a family member.

Dr. Arias is very thorough and follows up on everything including tests and/or prescriptions ordered by other doctors. you may be seeing. He has quite a large number of patients, but makes you feel as though you are his only one while he is with you. Very caring; excellent "bedside manner".

I have been a patient for 13 years and have changed insurance companies twice so I could stay with him. He is one of the best doctors I have ever had and I am 71 and still here. He makes sure I get the care I need, refers me to a specialist when it is needed. I trust him totally and told him if he quite practicing I would have to die. He treats all his patient like they are the most important person in the world because he feels that way about them. I could never say enough good about him
