I’m writing this as an advocate for my mother who is in her 80’s. This is not my first time dealing with Dr Leon. His bed side manner is terrible. The level of arrogance is astounding and he even went as far to tell me he was rude, it’s just his culture. I’m sorry but that is not an excuse. He feels threatened at even a hint of a question. He belittled nurses knowledge at the clinic where my mother goes. He went as far as to call the floor dr in from of me to make sure he didn’t have to repeat his instructions and was very demeaning to him as well. He suggested drastic measures of care without seeing the whole picture. I am not a doctor but I can read and understand the dynamics of what was going on, especially dealing with my moms and dads health issues my whole life and being able to read her history Thank goodness for the more than competent floor doctor that was amazing and took amazing care of my mother and was so gracious and caring and actually took time to listen to her.

He is smart but his Ego is huge
We call it Dr Leon whip lash, he con be such a jerk and won’t listen for the first half and just about the time you are ready to tell him to leave he will change and come up with something helpful and act like he wasn’t being such a jerk. He not only refuses to except that whatever plan he put you on isn’t the best (even if it lands you in the ER) but will get upset if you even question it. I have met with many Doctors and I have never been treated so bad .

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Leon Forero?
My experience with Dr Leon was the exact opposite of the one review I see here. He listens well, answered all my questions. He gave full explanations. While in the hospital late at night after a heart attack he was called because they may have had to put a stent in my artery and if they had to they would have had to put me on dialysis and he immediatly came up to the hospital to ensure that everything went well and that I was comfortable with what was happening and he gave full explanations of all that was going on. I trust him. He works with Dr Patchett who is my primary kidney doctor, but was on call that night and was at the hospital, in my room, soon after the hospital docs called him.

Dr. Leon is self absorbed, treats you like you don't matter and he is doing you a favor. Prescribed medication that reacted badly with other medications and did not bother to call back after numerous attempts to reach him. When told that he did not appear to care about me as a patient, he became offended and said he would not treat me in the future.
