Poor telephone
Telehealth
It's horrible trying to reach your office on the phone. I call and they never answer me. The automated system they have is terrible. I hope I never have to contact you again. I don't recommend them, despite Dr. Pacheco's good attention.

A truly abysmal patient experience
I saw Dr. Pacheco for 2+ years. I've never had a worse experience as a patient. The doctor didn't seem interested in my particulars and jumped straight into prescribing semaglutide (I don't have diabetes). My insurance rejected this several times. The doctor said he would write supporting letters to try and appeal, and it's not clear he ever did. He suggested I should consider paying for it privately. The office administration is awful: the front-desk has check-in, check-out & phone coverage by one staffer while others sat free in the back; automated appt reminders (text & call) at late, odd hours; no option for online billing; a useless patient portal; the receptionist doesn't pick up before 8am but appts start at 7; I was running late before 8, called and no one picked up, they cancelled and I had to beg to be seen; they tried to cancel appts when they couldn't find their own lab results; I had to leave voicemails to cancel or reschedule appts. Systemic contempt for patients.

Disappointing after 20+ years
I was a patient for 20+ years. The office staff has always been an abomination but because Dr Pacheco was so amazing I dealt with it. The past couple years the doc has been in a rush to get in and out. I was okay with it as it was my annual checkup for my condition & it was stable. The past year I’ve been having symptoms & issues that leave me concerned that my condition is no longer stable. I expressed these concerns. My labs were off so we drew more specific lab tests. They came back abnormal. I was told to give it 3 months and recheck. I was given an appointment with the doctor but no lab appointment. When I inquired about this to the med asst she accidentally forwarded me the docs message to her that said if I’m symptomatic to go somewhere else. Very disappointing to see that after all these years. I always felt him to be kind and caring. Maybe it’s just time for him to retire.

Push surgery
Pushed thyroid removal surgery even though I was in remission. Said my family will thank me for it. Inappropriate!

Staff are somewhat disorganized. Physicians do not fully listen to patients but have a ‘we already know’ one size fits all attitude and style.

This practice takes advantage of elderly patients!!! Insisted on a "needed" test, said it was covered by insurance, then charged $1200 to an elderly patient on a fixed income.

Dr. Pacheco is an excellent clinician, cares about his patients, and takes the time to listen to what I have to say. He is patient in answering any questions I may have and does not rush through the appointment. Best of all, he does not follow the long standing practice of many doctors who do not treat the patient as a partner in the treatment plan. Dr. Pacheco has always included me in the decisions on any changes/adjustments to the care plan

As someone in the medical field, I am disturbed that the office staff can make a doctor look bad when he is really great. I give excellent to make up for the people who blame the office when it is their fault or their mistake. This grading system is horrible!

Dr Pacheco was very polite and clear to understand. It took me several months to schedule my first appointment. I waited a very long time before he came in to see me. He was fast and straight to the point. Neither impressed or dissatisfied with him. I was dismissed from the practice because I did not book an annual exam, after I explained that my pregnancy was the reason. I was asked to write to the Dr asking to be seen. I disagree with their patient management and demeaning staff's attitude
