After just over a year of being Dr. Sabates' patients, we can say he's the best thing that's ever happened to our family in the healthcare area. The Doctor works like the old-fashioned doctors in Cuba. He sits down with the patient to examine them, spends time evaluating and listening to them, and has his Assistant enter everything he sees into the system while he himself writes the notes on each patient. He manages the corresponding referrals. If urgent or necessary, he or his staff contact the specialists in real time so they can see the patient immediately. We're equally happy with his staff. The team is fabulous, and each of the Assistants: Heiddy, Mabel, Rebeca, Miriam, Nancy, Maria, Yoannia y Daniel are wonderful and are the ones who guarantee the success of the office, supporting the doctor like I've never seen before, to the point that you hardly feel the Doctor's absence in the office. They're all very professional, helpful, and offer exquisite treatment. I highly recommend them.

My Mother in law was his patient for years and when she came to live with us we found great defecits in her care with Dr. Sabates. Most was a result of the poor staff and lack of proper communication. She was not given proper instructions following a procedure and directions for follow up medications. Most came to light when we set her up with a new Cardiologist. I realize much of the problem was due to the language barrier with his staff, but we felt strongly that new doctor's were in order. 2 doctors requested files to be transfered and never done. Very unprofessional.
