Dr. Carlos Torrellas, MD

Unprofessional and IRRESPONSIBLE! After waiting for the appointment for over a week, they canceled on the day of my appointment. They tried to make me talk to a nurse instead and when I explained my situation the lady put me on hold for over 25 minutes. After calling back and waiting for over 15 minutes another person said my refund was made. Now, how does that help someone who needs help? Dr. Carlos Torellas should know better that a patient comes to him looking to be heard and helped, not to be hanged on the phone and being treated like nothing. Don’t even loose your time! NO ONE CARES!

Dr. Torrellas, is very kind and listen to his patients needs aswell. The ladies Medical assistants, treat everyone with kind heartedness. Dr. Torrellas is the best Doctor for my case.

His office is very hard to reach. Phone busy. Phone not taken off service. Do not return calls. Do not complete paper work. Can wait an hour to 2 hours to see once checked in. Feel disrespected.

Dr Torrellas has been my doctor for over 10 years. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and will do everything he can to relieve your symptoms. He’s the only psychiatrist in Jacksonville to perform TMS, trans cranial magnetic stimulation therapy and is dedicated to seeking remission in his patients. He really is the best.

Poor waiting room decor and condition. No less very dirty. Office is overly packed and the waits are very long. One man for too many patients, he cannot possibly keep up or give personalized attention, which is desperately needed in this field. He needs to hire another psych. Thank God Jim is gone though.

I had approximately 4-5 appointments and waited no less than 1-2 hours each time. When I decided to stop seeing doctor Torellas, I notified the office staff that the new doctor I wanted to see had requested a referral letter. Certain office personnel told me I had to fill out some paperwork (discharging myself) in order to obtain a referral letter. I battled the office staff for two months about the letter which they ultimately said “they have never done,” and “would not do.”

Dr T. Is an excellent listener but I felt his greatest strength was his honesty in recommendations to find the best solutions. His desire is to find a pathway the makes you happy spiritually, emotionally, and physically. He weighs all options. I love working with Dr T and happily recommend him.

I have been treated with the good doctor for over 10 years. He is compassionate caring but most of all the most knowledgeable and competent psychiatrist that I have ever come across in my life actually in my 62 years he should be commended has a great a doctor for his caring nature of his patients the community and as a whole. I am lucky to have him as my doctor

Awesome office experience I saw the Nurse Practitioner. He was well educated and professional. I would highly recommend Jim to anyone.
