Dr. Carmen Ruiz, MD

I had diverticulitis it progressed as the years went on. So finally after years of suffering, and multiple hospital visits and numerous stays I had an life altering operation. After the operation, I had to wear a colostomy bag for sixteen months. I was told by the surgery team that I was eligible for a reversal, however, after seven visits to doctors for the reversal I was told that it could not be done, and that I would have to live with the colostomy bag. I had lost hope and was ready to give up. Luckily one the young ladies in my primary doctor's office said why not try one of these doctors. She gave me three names, so I choose Dr. Ruiz's name randomly. Upon my first visit to her office she was so personable, and so kind to me, she made me feel like a human again with tears rolling down my face I had hope again. She told me 'you are what were looking for, Yes we can do the reversal, and so she did. She is God Sent, she actually cares and is a true professional, and she's gorgeous.

I had a skin tag that was bothering me for years. Other doctors I went to couldn’t figure out what the discomfort was. Since skin tags don’t normally cause discomfort, they were trying everything to fix the discomfort but not removing it completely. When I went to Dr Ruiz, she finally removed it and my discomfort was now pretty much gone.

Dr. Ruiz is smart, kind and caring. I had a difficult polyp that another surgeon told me I needed several feel of my colon removed. Dr. Ruiz, saved me from a very difficult surgery. Dr. Ruiz is tops in my book.

Dr. Ruiz is amazing. I had a complicated analysis abscess and had two prevuous surgeries. The second surgery left me with two open wounds that required daily packing for over eight months. The surgeon tried multiple ways to close them up, all unsuccessful. Within one minute of Dr. Ruiz examining me, she knew what the problem was and how to fix it. She explained everything so thoroughly, even drawing pictures for me. She patiently answered any questions I had and had a wonderful bedside manner.
