Good Doctor, Awful PA
I believe that Dr. Kingston is a good and caring physician, but her PA, who rules the practice, is not. Following our first visit, the PA sent my prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy and did not even send all. I called the following Monday morning, and by Thursday noon, I had not received a return call even after reminding the receptionist at 9 am. I felt I had no choice other than to go around the PA to Dr. Kingston. She resolved the problem quickly, but then the PA defamed my wife and me in retaliation for exposing her incompetence, claiming to the doctor that we used profanity during our appointment a week earlier. Without discussion, we were dropped as patients. It is for the best. To get lab results, you must make an appointment. For referrals, you must go in even if the condition or problem was just discussed in a recent visit and there is nothing more to say. They just want your money.

I have been with this provider for 25-30 years, through many of life's stages and the issues and illnesses of advancing age. She is absolutely wonderful, the best physician I have ever had. An excellent diagnostician, she is practical and realistic about what doctors and medications can do. She is a gem.

Didn't listen to me
For about 13 years, Dr. Kingston was my family's doctor. At my visits, I would complain of lethargy, weight gain, bad skin, thinning hair, and mild depression. I would ask to have my thyroid checked and was told that my levels were normal, on the edge, but normal. I would have to accept that I was getting older and to exercise more. After a relocation to another part of the state, I started seeing new doctors. A few years later, an MRI revealed that I had a pituitary tumor, so large that it was causing me to go blind. I had a very difficult surgery, one that has left me with chronic health problems. It's hard not to think that had Dr. Kingston listened better and ran different tests, that maybe some of this could have been avoided. These tumors take years to grow, so if it had been found sooner, medications could have been used to reduce its growth. While I liked Dr. Kingston personally, I don't think she ever listened to me, maybe because I'm a woman.

Good, asked questions and offered referral for one of my problems. It was hard to see her in person so I usually saw a PA, and even then had longer waits than I wanted. When even the regular PA couldn't see me, I found treatment elsewhere.

Yearly physical
Indifferent manner, defensive, gave a rough exam, doesn't follow up on lab results, seems burned out- I was never happy with her practice; I and others left as soon as another MD could be found.

A very caring doctor who is able to turn on a dime! When she knows that something isn't right she goes to bat for her patients. I highly recommend her but don't know if she is taking any new patients. Who knows during Covid-19?

Dr. Kingston's practice was recommended to me by 2 other local physicians when I was looking for a primary care provider. I will be seeing one of the PA's in the office. The receptionist was cordial and professional giving a very good first impression of the office.

Really? I had a bone scan which showed degenerative disease, but have to make an appointment with the PA for the results. SO, I have to pay another office visit for seeing a PA. Something is wrong with this picture! The doctors in Texas call you with the results!

I've been going to Dr Kingston for years. I see her for my annual exam and her PAs for routine visits that I don't think require her direct attention. The staff is always attentive, answers my questions, and spends the time necessary to address my medical issues adequately. The one medical practitioner that was unprofessional has long since gone (she seemed medically competent but rude and dismissive). They are a great group of highly qualified and compassionate healers.
