Dr. Caroline Schreiber, MD

Many of my past experiences with previous providers frequently left me feeling ignored and my appointments rushed. Neither have been my experience with Dr. Schreiber - ever. During some very difficult moments in my life as well as the more stable and lighter periods, from the first appointment back in 2013 when I had just moved to Oakland and needed to see any doctor who was available to the present - 10+ years later, Dr. Schreiber has consistently provided the same high level of medical care with an immense amount of empathy, attention, and attention to my health. I'm forever grateful to have found a doctor who has always been nonjudgemental and genuinely compassionate without being dismissive of my questions, concerns, or life choices. Best doctor, hands down!

Dr, Schreiber is a very good listener and patient advocate. She has worked with me sorting through red tape, working through different medical issues (including gender dysphoria), and never judging through difficult times. She is truly a doctor for the entire family, as she treated my entire family of four.

Dr. Schreiber -- amen! I have been looking for a physician that could be an advocate for my health and I found that in her. She listened without judgement, sympathized without being unprofessional, and most importantly, outlined an action plan. While I trust Dr. Schreiber, some of the staff can be a little unorganized -- which, when dealing with PHI, I always get concerned. However, it doesn't deter me from continuing to see Dr. Schreiber and referring her to friends.

Excellent doctor. Terrific bedside manner and very help with diagnosing problems and making referrals when needed.

She can be inconsiderate toward people about their weight and quite obtuse about eating disorders (ie saying things like everyone should try to lose weight - with no relevant health context - to someone with a history of severe eating disorders). It's hard to get timely appointments, even for urgent issues.
