Dr. Barnes-Mullett knows how to interact with kids
Dr. Barnes-Mullett has an amazing comforting, kid-friendly bedside manner that is also 100% professional. Extremely knowledgeable and up-to-date on medical advances, and spends ample time answering questions and listening to anxiety about growth, weight, sleeping, eating, and illnesses. She makes us feel heard, respected, and cared for. Best of all, she obviously really loves kids and treats them like real people, speaking directly to them rather than treating them like an object their parents brought in to be inspected. In addition, she is direct but compassionate in breaking news or undertaking scary treatments and procedures (the dreaded vaccination series!) to parents and families. If you asked what made a perfect pediatrician, Dr. Barnes-Mullett would be my example.

Dr. Barnes has been our pediatrician for 7 years and has always been friendly courteous and takes an active interest in my childrens' health. She has always been thorough and helpful in illness diagnoses and with any questions we have. I can't think of a single misdiagnosis on her part during the past 7 years, and she has an excellent manner with children.
