Could be better.
I've been seeing her for years, and in the beginning, I thought she was really compassionate and understanding with my first pregnancy. I was very young and hadn't decided if I was going to go through with it and I felt like she was understanding and supportive. My second and third pregnancies were back-to-back and I felt a little judged when she pushed hard for me to go on birth control. (I did not, my husband got a vasectomy instead.) At my most recent visit, she spent a significant portion of the appointment lecturing and shaming me for being overweight, after gaining some after having three kids. I left the appointment in tears. I've been seeing her for a decade, but after that, I don't think I'll go back.

Dr. Bell was recommended to me because I wanted a second opinion about an ongoing medical condition I was experiencing. She is an outstanding doctor! I found her to be compassionate, knowledgable, and skilled. I felt she really listened to me and understood my situation taking into consideration my concerns and feelings. She absolutely made me feel like I was a priority from my first visit, before and after surgery, and at my post surgical appointment. Dr. Bell's approach and personality is a perfect fit for her medical practice. I would recommend Dr. Bell to anyone looking for an OBGYN!

I saw Dr Bell for the last trimester of my pregnancy. I liked that she was encouraging about my attempts for a VBAC. I did not like that she always seemed very rushed. Scheduling with her was very difficult and she is often double or triple booked. I often saw her nurse practitioner. The NP told me I could expect an ultrasound to determine the baby's position at my next appointment. My husband came along to see the baby. Dr Bell did not want to do an ultrasound (said she could determine the baby's position by feel) and when we said we were told we'd get to see our baby she said "you're putting me in a bad position with my nurse." Sorry? She got the ultrasound machine and very spitefully placed the wand on my lower belly and said "head" and shut the machine off. We were shocked to have been treated like such an inconvenience, especially when the issue was communication on her end with her nurse. It was uncomfortable enough that I switched doctors with only 2 weeks left in my pregnancy.

I would recommend this physician to absolutely no one. My mother has been SUFFERING from a flare up related to her endometriosis for a month with no end in sight. This doctor refuses to prescribe her anything, refuses to refer her to an endometriosis clinic, and also refuses to refer her to general surgery to look further into her medical problem. This doctor wants to “medically manage” her pain...with nothing. I am unbelievably frustrated with this “doctor’s” lack of care.
