Billing problems or scam?
I got a bill from a collections company allegedly for services from this doctor, more than 9 months after I had a procedures at VHC. Never heard from her before then. Given all the other comments, it seems like this is a frequent issue of incompetence in their billing office, or potentially an ongoing scam.

Is there a real Dr Poropatich?
How would I know - I've been billed by this office when the charge matches a legitimate date of service. Then out of the blue I got a bill from a collections agency (Oliver Adjustment - which I think is a scam too). In any case, I'm in touch with Oliver Adjustment after not being able to reach their office and have now been on hold twice attempting to have a conference call with BCBS and their office. I'm beginning to think there is no such doctor and the whole thing is a scam. When I get back from vacation I am going to try to show up to her office in person and will report back how it goes. Anybody else have a similar experience?

The pathology is everything. She misdiagnosed my fiancé with appendix cancer! Almost cost her chemo and surgery to remove and resection her colon. Thank god we got a second opinion from a specialist. They were appalled by her report. She didn’t have cancer and was completely fine after appendix was removed. Saved us a lot of pain and suffering. Stay away from this pathologist.

Never met her (or got a bill from her), but a year after a procedure, a collections agency is asking for money without any supporting information.

Dr. Poropatich was pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable, and thorough in her explanation of her function in the procedure I had done on 1/17/2018. Her billing/administrative office personnel are another story, however; on 3/30/2020 or 3/31/2020, I received a bill for lab work that she had done from that procedure - - - the bill was more than 2 YEARS AND 2 MONTHS old. This was the first bill I had received from this doctor's office for this procedure. I am now trying to get her office's help in determining what is going on here. I will update this commentary when I get some answers from her office. In the meantime, I will withhold that 4- or 5-star rating: this administrative lack of timeliness and responsibility is a big question, first, and - more importantly - shows a lack of total professionalism on the part of the office.
