Often rude insolent staff, argues about scheduling
The doctor's staff lied & were confrontational too much. They said that a scheduled appointment for a month out, which I just made 2 hours ago, could not be changed as all dates for 11/2023 were booked full. It's a lie, as when I made the appointments earlier today 10/06/23 the lady said there were several dates available in November.

Very impressed with Dr. Bowles
Dr. Bowles was professional yet personable. He knew exactly what was going on with my foot. He explained everything in detail and so I could understand. I do suggest filling out the paperwork online before your visit as it is an electronic pad and if your like me, a little electronically challenged, this will save some frustration. I will definitely be going back for future visits.

The Doctor Who Saved My Leg
Dr Bowles and I became acquainted at StPeters Hospital. I had entered the hospital with a stubborn bone infection in my left big toe. After being admitted, I was informed my leg was to be amputated to under the knee. I was in shock, septic, unable to make sense of this barbaric solution. Dr Bowles was a podiatrist surgeon on call and saw me, agreeing that I did not need this level of amputation, and ended up taking the big toe and the ball of my foot. In that moment he changed the course of my life. I continue to see him for life long feet issues, as well as interim lymphedema therapy, since the actual clinic is never taking New people. I get Unna boots put on weekly as well as toenail care. His staff and himself are accepting, not fat phobic, intelligent, and kind. I actually like going to these appointments. I would recommend the Doctor and staff at Foot And Ankle Westside and Tumwater, as well as their EXCELLENT physical therapy department. I love Foot and Ankle, A great Team!!

I have been seeing Dr. Bowles for several years for nail care. Other than the excellent nail care service I have gained important information and medical advice regarding my feet from this knowledgeable doctor. And, as a great bonus, Dr. Bowels is consistently upbeat and positive. He has a welcoming attitude and it is pleasure to visit him and his outstanding staff.

This was my (12/12/20) first-time visit to Dr. Bowles for an ingrown toenail. The staff was so nice, everyone knew their stuff and they were so helpful in explaining it all to me. Dr. Bowles was very kind and had patience with my questions. I will go back and I referred a friend to him yesterday, she is a diabetic, too.

Referred by my primary doctor for an MRI study and evaluation after an ankle injury. Dr. Bowles insisted I go thru 2 casts, 2 braces, a walking boot & physical therapy before he would order the MRI. Four months later with little improvement and thousands of dollars spent he finally orders the MRI, but submits incomplete paperwork so the test was denied. After two months & calling the office dozens of times to get the appeal process started I was informed they don't have time to deal with an appeal & I should seek care from another provider.
