I want to share my experience with the Dr. Simmons, I’m emotional writing this review because for first time in YEARS, I literally felt important and heard. I felt reassured throughout my visit that I was in GOOD HANDS. She’s very knowledgeable and helpful and most of all she has a gentle, welcoming presence.

Dr. Simmons is great! She’s knowledgeable, patient, and caring.
She wasn’t my original OB at this practice. During my pregnancy, I had to see different providers. Once I met her, I felt very much at ease. She always took her time to explain and answer all my questions.
When tests were required, she called herself the next day to go over results.
She ended up being on call when I needed a c section. She did an amazing job and stayed past her call hours!
Highly recommend her!!!

I painstakingly researched a myriad of doctors after my gynecologist of 20 years abruptly stopped practicing. I was nervous, uneasy and downright afraid of having to literally and figuratively open myself to a new gynecologist! Well Dr. Simmons' bedside manner left me at ease. I even though to myself, "I should have left my other doctor a long time ago!" Dr. Simmons is knowledgeable and down to earth. She explains things thoroughly and takes time to care for you. Love her!

I've been seeing Dr. Simmons for a few years, and when I found out I was pregnant, she was the OB i had in mind. She has been amazing, she listens, answers any questions i have thoroughly. She is very thorough and has made me feel at ease. As a first time mom I would definitely recommend her, for general gyn needs, i'd recommend her.

My first visit to Dr. Simmons went very well. I’m a new patient and she and her nurse did a thorough job. She was warm and informative and I’m pleased to have her as my new doctor. The negative comments are suspect, because when you enter Westmed the nurse always asks you why you’re here. If the other patient needed a Pap smear she should’ve stated it in her initial conversation with the nurse. Whatever truth maybe, I’m very happy to have a doctor and a young black doctor ??????? at that.

I went to see her because of a specific issue. I was not so impressed with her. The exam was painful (it shouldn't be and hasn't been with many other providers). She did not ask any background questions and did not even mention doing a PAP even though it was years since I had one and she could have easily seen that in the records--I had to ask her for it.

I was really looking forward to my visit with Dr. Simmons at the WestMed location being that the previous prenatal care I was receiving wasn't too good. When she enetered the room she had a very cold vibe to her. I could see on her face that she wasn't feeling well and didn't want to be there. The visit seemed rushed and I didn't feel important at all. It took her three weeks to get back to me about simple urine test that she said would be in by the next day . Very disappointed.

I changed my gynecologist a year ago and I'm happy I chose her as a replacement . She is the true definition of what a doctor should be to their patients.. Very down to earth and doesn't make u feel uncomfortable. She's amazing
