So glad I found Dr.Hwang (wish I found her 1st)!
The longer I’ve been her patient, the more respect I have for her! She is a busy, rare, kind, patient, wise, compassionate specialist with a fabulous staff. She explains things VERY well, as you need & can understand complex procedures & protocols. She sometimes accommodates patients who need emergency visits & runs behind, yet she gives each patient courtesy, time & needed attention. This is her only downside. I’ve had many visits: some short, some hours. She is so skilled, self-assured, reassuring & reachable through her wonderful office staff by phone or via MyChart messaging (Heather D. is prompt & knows to whom each concern should be routed). I had a failed DCR surgery with a (young) surgeon at NE Ohio Eye Surgeons July 2022. Due diligence taught me that my blocked tearduct condition was probably impacted by my deviated septum. I believed I needed an ENT-DCR which that surgeon wouldn’t do. Dr. Hwang knew just what I needed, jointly with Dr. Sindwani performed ENT-DCR.$10 valet

Emergency surgery 7/15/22
I had emergency surgery this evening to repair multiple facial fractures that was applying pressure to the main orbital muscle causing double vision, numbness, and many other complications. She was abrupt with decision making, and made the best decision for the future of my vision and eyes. I seen a negative review below and I hope others understand that she is a surgeon, not your friend. Operating on many folks daily. From what I know, and have been told not by her, but by colleagues, she’s one of the best in the US. I fully recommend her and her team to the fullest!!

Dr. Hwang has closed two very large skin cancer excisions on my forehead in the past year. There is no visible scarring. She is very skilled, very friendly and approachable, explains everything and listens well.

Excellent Surgeon with Excellent Results!
I needed a blepharoplasty (to repair my droopy eyelids), when the eyelids limited my peripheral vision. Dr. Hwang and her team took before and after pictures, reminding me that I actually have brown eyes. I was well prepared for the procedure and aftercare. By complying with their instructions, I had limited bruising, and no pain on or around my eyelids (something I never could have imagined!) I know several of Dr. Hwang's patients, all of whom think she is wonderful. I have joined them. Many thanks to Dr. Hwang, Bekky, Justine, and the gang for your competence and care!

Awesome Doctor
Dr. Hwang is a great doctor and I have had a wonderful experience with her. She laid out all of the options for me when we discussed my options of treating my eye issues. She always has a smile on her face and is extremely welcoming when she comes into the exam room. she is great about following up with me and I would highly recommend her to anyone. Her team is also pretty amazing.

Dismissive and rushed
I found Dr. Hwang to be abrupt, cold, and disrespectful. She did not specify her plans for treatment. When I tried to ask her a question, she interrupted me, and was condescending when we discussed my medical history. She didn’t make eye contact with me, and mostly had her back turned the entire time. She was rude to her assistants, it seemed like they couldn’t keep up with her (overly fast) speed in clinic. I would not recommend her; there are excellent oculoplastic physicians outside of Cleveland Clinic that will treat you with dignity and be able to effectively diagnose issues. I assume that she is a competent surgeon, but her bedside manner leaves much to be desired.

I wasn't impressed, I have Graves Opthalmology, she specialized in this condition. She came in did measurements and handed me a stack of papers about it, left, Wasted my time.

Dr. Hwang was a very caring doctor and spent a great deal of time with me. She showed she truly cared and made me feel very comfortable by taking interest in my health. She was extremely knowledgeable as well. She is what all doctors need to be.
