Office would not answer phone when I called after learning of my pregnancy no matter how many times I called. No showed 2 of my appointments. Office was actually closed on my second appt. Cleaning ladies let me know.Could not find my medical records when I went to switch. Found out I was the 18th person to switch to the new clinic due to the same reasons.Never helped my seizures. I switched physicians and am now 7 years free.

I was treated with disrespect and in a discriminative way. The worse doctor. I never got a response back, I wanted to get an appointment, tried to reach her for months, and I decide to go in person to see why they were not sending me an email with my appointment. I talked to the front desk lady and she said, because I can't provide a phone number, they won't see me. Horrible experience. They cared less about my medical situation. I explained to the receptionist the line I am using is a private line, and to please work with me, but she refused and repeated. The doctor won't see you. I left her office, humiliated, and, devastated. Unprofessional, and unethical office.

I had the longest appointment ever when I went to see Dr Porter. That was because she took her time to ask important questions, and actively listening to my answers and taking the appropriate action. Dr. Porter is not only the best neurologist I have ever seen, she is the best doctor I have ever seen. And she is an awesome person.

Dr. Porter is the best neurologist I have ever had. I have been dealing with neurological problems since I was 17 and she has taken the time to figure things out and not just throw medication at me and walk away.

I am very disappointed with this doctor. My brother-in-law suffered a severe head injury that resulted in a stroke. It happened during work in which he was injured in an auto accident. Even though she saw him in the hospital she never returned phone calls asking her to respond regarding her consultation. That made a a big difference in terms of my brother-in-law's care. Ironically I am a physician and I still didn't get a call back from her. This is a disgrace. It clearly violates our Hippocratic oath that we took as physicians. Don't see her. She may decide to ignore you too.

My experiences with Dr. Porter has always been outstanding. Finally a neurologist who doesn't just ask questions but listens to your answers. I've seen neurologists before who will continuously refer to complaints I don't have (even after correcting them) or after running a couple tests, send you on your way. While we are still ongoing in getting to the bottom of my ailments, I've never felt unvalued or uncared for as a patient. My symptoms aren't always daily and may have many months to over a year between flare ups so it's not the easiest thing to nail down. I will admit in the beginning of her new practice, there was some office staff that left things to be desired, but she appears to have a great team in place now and I'm thankful to be a patient there.

Dr.Porter is one of the most knowledgeable neurologist I’ve met. She will search out answers, diagnosis, and find treatments that work. She really listens to her patients and does not rush through the appointment. She is caring and compassionate. Her staff are all friendly and you do not have to wait long at all to be seen. If you go to the ER she wants them to call her if it’s a neurological issue and she will give orders.

Visited Dr. Porter a few months ago. It was the most unprofessional and disorganized office I have ever been to. Upon checking out we waited for 20 minutes before anyone even processed our paperwork and payment. Was told that she would be in touch to schedule MRI and labs but 3 weeks later and no phone call. Transferred to a new neurologist and requested the office visit notes from Dr. Porter and never received them. Called a dozen times (my PCP called also) and never received them.

My initial appointment with Dr. Porter was decent, but every interaction since has been extremely unprofessional. I have been trying to get FMLA paperwork completed for my employer for almost 4 months and it still has not been turned in. I have called the office almost every single week and they tell me they will look into and call back, but I never get any calls. They also schedule appointments without consulting with me first to make sure I’m available. Very unprofessional and unreliable.

Nightmare! Wouldn't work with my insurance company to get the specialty medicines i need because she "doesn't have the time to answer their questions" about my medical necessity. Finally, after a year of dealing with this, she writes a simple letter to HealthChoice and it's done. Her office rarely answers my calls, doesn't return calls when I leave a message--in fact her voicemail greeting warns callers not to make repeated calls. She's approachable enough, but seems flustered and confused.

She is very knowledgeable and patient. She never rushes us and always answers every question. She is a very personable doctor who truly cares about her patients. I trust her completely with not only my care but the care of my special needs adult daughter. Believe me, good neurologists are very hard to find.

My husband visited Dr Porter and found her to be friendly, and seemed thorough until it came time for all the tests she has put him through. First an MRI was not sent to Vantage, they had to call her numerous times, an Ultrasound was not filled out properly for Medicare to approve, then a blood workup was not properly filled out and they could not get hold of her all morning. My husband sat at DLO (lab) for and hour and half waiting and they never got the test done.

Concerning Dr. Porter, I found her to be very thorough in her diagnostic process. She demonstrated a high level of concern for me and asked a lot of questions concerning my symptoms and general health as part of her diagnostic process. She asked if I was a military veteran and when I affirmed, she thanked me for my service. Her staff on the other hand leave a lot to be desired. Failing to mail certain items on multiple occasions, calling at the last minute to confirm a scheduled test and o

Office staff was all confused. I had an appointment set up for test. Got to the parking lot fixing to go into the hospital, after confirming the appointment two days prior with the hospital. 10 minutes before I was suppose to be their. I received a call saying Dr Porter could not order that test that I had to have a Neuro Surgeon. All the office staff could say is I had to see another Dr. first. My call to Dr's nurse, Lacy had no clue! This is all after taking off work and driving 30 miles.

Ok experience, didn't feel too welcomed. Was sent for an EEG, test results take 10 business days to come in. It's been 5 weeks. Her nurse hasn't responded to any of our phone calls regarding the situation. I would NEVER reccomend anyone needing a neurologist, to Dr. Porter. I have received the bill before receiving the test results.
