Unprofessional and laughed every time I would flinch in pain or scream because I did not receive proper numbing

Took a urine sample, said it was too light to determine. No follow up blood work or ultrasound. It was later determined by another office that it was a chemical pregnancy.

Dr. Thornburg is extremely unprofessional. She spends most of the time during appointments complaining about her own problems or about other patients. I could hear her in the hallway complaining about other patients before walking in the room. My appointments were rushed, and she failed to document/remember what we discussed. I would return for a test that she had told me to get, and there would be no orders or documentation of it. On multiple occasions, she forgot to call in prescriptions for me and schedule an induction. Luckily, I went into labor naturally. I heard my nurses talking about having problems getting in touch with her on the day I went labor. When she did show up, she acted annoyed and asked “what happened?” Due to her lack of attention, I had unnecessary complications with retained products after delivery. I had a really good nurse who noticed the issue and addressed it. When Dr. Thornburg rounded on me for discharge, she essentially blamed me for having the issue.

I had been seeing Dr Thornburg for abnormal paps for a few years. Her office had me in there every 6 mos for pap and biopsy which I hate. When the problem was not HPV causing the abnormal pap and unknown infection to show as results but it was a UTI instead that over the course of 5 years I was never tested for. I decided to get a second opinion after they took a biopsy and then a month later called me and said I needed another without says what was wrong with the last sample. Not to mention insurance doesn’t cover these mini surgeries. Never again… if you want advice on your vaginal health you shouldn’t go to this place.

Dr. Thornburg is an awful gyno. She laughed at me when I asked if I needed to do bloodwork when I have a history of anemia, it was in my patient history write-up but she did not bother to read them, saying doctor's are just making money off me by ordering unnecessary tests. Worst gyno experience I have ever had and will NEVER return to this practice because of her. I do not trust her opinion at all and she made me feel stupid for just asking questions. They did not even bother to ask/request my previous history from my other gynecologist (I am new to the area) to know my medical history.

My first appointment was fine. I went in for a wellness checkup and to discuss birth control options. Thorburg breezed through BC methods and appeared to not have the time to discuss many pros, cons, and concerns to my options, and left me handful of pamphlets. Her responses to my questions were also dismissive. I had my second appointment after deciding on an IUD. After the speculum was placed and IUD was prepared, Thorburg looked at me and said “did they tell you how much this costs?” I replied saying they didn’t, and she made a comment saying that “they must think we make a lot of money”. These are very stress inducing comments for someone who is already struggling financially! The actual procedure was painful, but went okay. Afterwards, the doctor told me “just be aware that this type of IUD has the highest rate of dislodgment.” I am not sure why she would say that lat Overall, her comments were inappropriate and made me uncomfortable. I will be seeing someone else in the future.

Inexplicably abhorrent. I have been in the doctor-patient relationship game for almost three decades as my life’s work but have never been so appalled by a fellow physician’s behavior as I was today. The treatment received from Dr Thornburg by a family member of mine during her initial visit was so awful it is hard to believe she continues to practice. This patient was blamed for being late as a reason for not spending time with her, when in fact she was early to her appointment. Then when she tried to ask questions concerning her health she was told this was not the “right appointment” for that and she only had “limited time “ to spend. Clearly that meant a total of 5 minutes. Dr Thornburg was uncaring, rude, dismissive, condescending, and shockingly unprofessional but very happy to collect her fee. I want all to know most of us MDs do not operate in this manner. She has clearly been in the game too long and needs to retire. I cannot imagine treating my patients so poorly.

Dr thornburf was rough with the Pap smear and then made a comment “we aren’t 14 are we?” She was so rude and her nurse Diane tried to scare me about having a baby when I was 38. She said “do you want a baby with Down syndrome?” Wow. Don’t go to this doctor for any reason.

My daughter went to see this dr for birth control and to be tested for std’s because she had unprotected sex. This dr had the nerve to tell her that there was no reason to test her because she didn’t SEE anything wrong!! There are many stds you cannot SEE!! She also proceeded to tell her that the reason she suffers from endometriosis and migraines is because she is overweight! She has had these issues since she was a teenager weighing 115lbs. This is not ok. My daughter wanted a hormone free birth control option and all she recommended was the nuvoring. All she cared about was my daughters weight.

She is smart and thorough. I have been to her over the last 15 years. I appreciate her analysis and recommendations. She will push for tests when there is doubt.

Dr. Thornburg spent less than 5 minutes with me during my appointment today. She was in such a hurry to see other patients, that she barged in while I was getting redressed, AND STAYED! She proceeded to shove an informative document at me while I was trying to get my clothes on and left the room to see other patients. It wasn’t even a busy day at the office! Terrible bedside manner. Didn’t take the time to listen to me or my concerns. I would have zero confidence in her delivering my child.

Horrible experiences here. I’ll never go back. The nurse, Diane, is so moody and hateful. She makes you feel like an idiot if you ask any questions. Thornburg doesn’t have good bedside manner. Time to retire! I’ll be finding a new OBGYN.

The new office at advanced woman's health has a horrible people at the reception terrible customer service I am really disappointed

I really like Dr. Thornburg as my everyday Doctor. I've never had a bad experience with her. Her NURSE is another story. She is so cold and rude and makes you feel like a child. Every time, I want to walk out after dealing with her. My last visit, I was sitting in the room waiting on the Doctor and she asked me why I was even here if I was off of the medication causing me issues. Excuse me? I'm having an issue I would like the doctors knowledge about. I'm switching doctors solely because of her.

This is the worst Doctor in the universe.She doesn't have a little bit of manner/care.She never even came to visit me after I have had a complicated delivery.She is so very rude towards everyone.I wouldn't recommend anyone to have her as a doctor.She will make the birthing experience so miserable.

Horrible bed side manner. She made me feel really uncomfortable and after seeing her for pre-natal visits for a whole 9 months, she still called me by the wrong name. I left and wouldn't recommend her to anyone!
