Excellence in medicine
My 89 year old mother is a patient of Dr Tsai. She had a blocked common duct and a large gall stone in her gall bladder and other health conditions that could have made for a more complex surgery. As a surgeon Dr Tsai is as engaging and thoughtful as she is confident and smart. She lessened my mom's anxiety with clear explanations and use of visuals to explain the surgery. After the surgery Dr Tsai provided additional visuals and details of the surgery as she answered all of my mom's questions and explained the stages of healing over the next 8 weeks. My mom had complete trust in Dr Tsai and the team as did our entire family. We believe this was an important factor in my mom's healing along with the frequent check-ins each day by the team. Our family is so grateful to the team at Mount Sinai and especially to Dr Tsai for her excellence in medicine and dedication to her profession and the patients she serves. Thank you.
