Amazing experience
Dr Balogh was my main care provider for a recent pregnancy and she was amazing. She listened to me and ordered postpartum hormone labs when asked and helped me tremendously with postpatrum anxiety. I would recommend her to any of my friends!

Doesn't Listen, Doesn't believe in Hormones
Made this appt specifically for Hormones as I had some terrible symptoms associated with menopause. I have ADHD already when my hormones are out of balance I have the attention span of a gnat! She kept turning me away from hormones! that is what I specifically made the appt for & had waited weeks to get this appt. I started to cry because she wasn't helping me. Then she suggested I see a shrink! Now this made me very angry seeing as I am a biological scientist, CVT, NCBTMB, CLD, LMT. I paid my bill (for NOTHING) went straight to my truck in the parking lot, did an internet search & got a BIOTE appt for the next Tuesday and by Thursday I had pellets implanted and by Thursday night I started to feel human again. Balogh should consider a different specialty because she's not making it in this one.

Misdiagnosed
I went in for a last minute appointment as I was having an irregular and painful issue, just scheduled with whoever was available soonest. She did not ask me a single question, did not listen when I told her where the issue was and hurt me by trying to use a speculum, and then took one look and announced that I had an STI. My partner and I have been monogamous for twelve years and neither of us have any history of Sti’s- not that she would know that, as she still had not asked me anything. I sobbed on the exam table while she took the very painful swabs needed for testing. After I was dressed, I had to come back and be swabbed again because she did the wrong ones. She also sent me with orders for blood work for this supposed sti diagnosis. My symptoms resolved on their own over the next few days and of course all of the testing came back negative. My f/u with dr shimp was very thorough and I am ok now. But I wouldn’t be seen by dr. Balogh if she was the last doc in Lee county.

Great if you are looking for a medical robot
At my recent OB appt, I explained that I am 55 and just gained about 30 pounds and felt fatigue. Asked for labs for my hormones, tyroid and others so that I could give them to my Integrative Med Doc for preventative care. She said she can't order them because she wouldnt/couldn't treat me for weight gain and that my hormonal symptoms seem in line with my age. She referenced her care protocols from "the book". I guess if you are looking for a doctor that treats you as an individual instead of using a reference guide, Dr. Balogh may not be the right fit but hey, my pap and mammogram are complete.
