Dr. Cecilia Ellis, DO

Dr. Ellis has been my OB for about 2 years now. She recently delivered my baby boy via emergency c-section and I couldn’t be happier that she was my doc. I had a lot of complications and she was so wonderful, especially in a time of emergency. Not only did she save me, but she eased my families mind and answered all my questions. She is the type to call you personally to see how you’re doing, and always makes sure you aren’t left with question or concern. Hands down the best doctor I’ve ever had!

She has been with me for all 4 of my pregnancies and has a heart of gold. She has changed practices 3 times and I change with her every time.

You should know Dr. Ellis still sees episiotomies as common practice. In my first prenatal appointment with her, I asked about her episiotomy rate. She said she didn't know. That should have been a clue, but since I knew that episiotomies were no longer recommended practice, I assumed she did to and left it at that. Fast forward, and she not only gave me one, but I later found out from others that she is known for episiotomies. I of course am using a different care team for my current pregnancy.

She is never in a rush and makes her patients feel that their needs and concerns are important. She is gentle with the use of the exam equipment and takes the time to do the exam in a calm manner. She also has a great personality...

Dr Ellis has been my dr for 7 years now and I love her. She’s wonderful, compassionate person. She’s delivered both of my daughters. I have not one negative thing to say about her, thankful I found her.

I LOVE Dr. Ellis. We lost our first baby due to an incompetent cervix, she was the person who had the terrible job of telling us there was no longer a fetal heartbeat. She then performed my D&C after his delivery. She was so compassionate, kind, & warm during the worst moments in our lives. She went on to deliver our 2 precious daughters through the next 3 years. Dr. Ellis is the best doctor I've ever had. I wish I could have taken her with me when I moved several hours away. She's professional, respectful, intelligent, and her personality is delightful. My only gripe was that since she was so popular, it was sometimes very difficult to get an appointment.

I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Ellis. When I got pregnant, I looked up the DO's practicing at ObGyn Associates and chose Ellis based on the reviews here. She is personable and patient, and is very helpful with answering questions. I regularly got unsolicited comments from outside lab techs and nurses that Dr. Ellis "is very good." The clincher was how many comments I got about my son's circumcision, how great it looked compared to the average. I wish she could move cities when I leave Akron!

Dr. Ellis was an excellent obgyn! She also delivered my daughter via c section at akron general and checked up on us afterwards a few times. She thoroughly explained everything and was a very cautious and patient dr. I will go there for my next child. Bonus: they accept tricare.

Dr. Ellis is a caring and compassionate physician. She has helped to deliver all nine of our children over the course of her career! I would recommend her to anyone!

Dr. Ellis is the best physcian in the state. Knowledgeable, professional, personality plus. You know your in the best care when she is taking care of you. Just love her, recommend her highly. As a nurse I observed her and have been a pt. for 30 yrs. She even delivered my grandchildren.
