Very busy guy
The good news is that after Chad was able to remove a piece of a disk that was pinching my spine and my problem was solved. But the whole experience with this guy was terrible. At first, when I was in terrible pain, he was going to schedule my next appointment 6 weeks into the future. Fortunately another doctor advocated for me and got the appointment moved to an earlier time. At my next appointment, he was an hour late. The first thing he told me is what a great workout he had just finished.

After waiting nearly 2 months for an initial consult (that was going to cost $1200 for 60-90 minutes) with Dr. Prusmack, we waited 45 minutes past our appointment time. As busy professionals, we had other commitments after our appointment and told the front desk we had to cancel. Their response, “Are you sure? He won’t be able to get you in for another 2 months.” The Chief Customer Experience officer called us the next day and apologized but in the same breath said, “I can’t guarantee that Dr. Prusmack would ever be on time.” As professionals ourselves in the healthcare industry, this kind of experience is usually do to poor practice management, poor executive functioning skills, arrogance or a combination of all three. So, if you don’t mind waiting an inordinate amount of time for your scheduled appointment to start, give Dr. Prusmack a try. He did come highly recommended. If you want a doctor that values your time like he does his own, move along like we did.

Dr Chad did my ADR surgery and I could not be happier. From the first evaluation to my last follow up Dr Prusmak and his staff are top notch. They made me feel comfortable and made sure I understood the procedure. My pain in my shoulders and down my arm, and my headaches are gone! I was a very emotional experience when the pain went away.

I was recommended by my PI attorney. I was in a car accident that further damaged my already surgically repaired cervical spine. I also had significant injuries to my shoulder which also needs to be addressed. I went to my appointment and met with his PA, not him. When speaking with the PA I Informed him I already had the shoulder scheduled and proceeded to tell me bad idea, neck needs to be done first. Then I asked if the DR, who was not present, would speak the the shoulder DR to determine the best course of action he laughed in my face and said that will never happen. So sorry that his 5 minutes is more important that making sure a mistake is not made in an attempt to repair my neck which is pretty important to me but not to them apparently. He then said he would talk to DR and discuss and would call me back early in the week. Never happened and they just called to schedule a surgery with someone who thinks they are too important to speak to me directly , no thanks.

He put a plate in my neck in 2013 and still had problems with headaches one year later. A friend told me to go to Dr Chung for a evaluation and found out that the screws holding the plate that Prusmack put in one year earlier were loose and the plate was not supporting my vertebrae at all. I was misdiagnosed by Prusmack to start with because the problem was that my spinal cord was compressed in three spots by the vertebrae in my neck. Dr Chung took the front plate out that Prusmack put in.

10 years ago Dr. Prusmack did a 2 level spine fusion. He stopped taking my insurance so could not follow up with him. Ive had one problem after another since about 2014. The fusion lasted for about 7 years on my quest to get out of pain including hardware removal, injections,Lysis of Adhesions which caused me to have Cauda Eqina Syndrome and Adhesive Arachnoiditis with clumping of nerve roots. I'm in the process of getting my second S.C.S. Dr. Prusmack was good to me and did a good job. Thank You

Dr. Prusmack and the physical therapist he uses, Dr. Ryan Winters saved my life. I had numerous spine surgeries performed by Dr. Guiot at Littleton Hospital. That doctor caused more damage and pain, fusions that fell apart and damaging nerves to cause neuropathy in my lower right leg. Dr. Prusmack examined me, took out everything Dr. Guiot put in and did the triple fusion his way. I have no pain and can do anything I want now. From this Marine Corps vet, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!!!

After 5 years of no answers for my chronic back pain, Dr. Prusmack was able to get the insurance to approve the needed diagnostic test to get definitive answers. Within 24 hours of my first appointment, I had the procedure scheduled. Within a week of the procedure, I had the results and answers. Dr. Prusmack performed an ALIFF procedure (lumbar fusion), and I was up walking around the day of surgery. I was standing straight for the first time in 5 years, and my dead foot drop was gone. The best!

He doesn't take ownership of hisfailed work. He stopped accepting my insurance 3 months after my surgery. Then has me see a different Doctor within there group. And that doctor says "well I didn't do the surgery ". Nothing fused in my 3 level fusion and my hardware is loosening. Time to get the wolves after him.
