Dr. Chang Son, MD

I have been to Son Dermatology a few times in the past. I do not frequent dermatology doctors but my last visit to Son Dermatology was not great. I was billed a new patient fee just because i had not been to the office in a few years. I was asked to return a week later because i was a "new patient" and they could not do anything except examine new patients. I returned the following week for a quick biopsy and was charge another office visit plus biopsy procedure. This could have been done on my first visit. I was asked again to come back and get my results and was charged again for a followup visit. Dont get me started on their billing department. No one answers and no one calls back. I will not return to this doctors office and recommend others seek out different dermatology offices.

I waited one hour to be rushed through a five-minute consult, because one of those sample salespeople showed. up. Making patients wait for salespeople is not professional. Then I was told to speak to secretary to schedule procedure, and no one attended me. So, I stood in front of receptionist who seemed to be on a personal call, and she had the rudeness to turn her back on me and continue the call. I tried calling back several times after because I want procedure and the English is so bad, after repeating myself several times I hung up. I wonder of Dr knows he is losing business because of the attitude of his workers. TERRIBLE, ERRAGANT RUDE. I wonder if Dr even cares to see bad reviews.

My appointment was at 10AM. I was seen at 11AM. No apologies given. We all have schedules to keep. Just because you're a doctor, doesn't mean you can make patients wait an hour and we just have to deal with it. Dr. Son spent no more than 5 minutes with me. I came in for psoriasis on my scalp and legs. He barely looked at my scalp and didn't even bother to look at my legs. Prescribed 2 medications which my pharmacist said was not covered by my insurance and very expensive. The pharmacist called the doctor to get alternative medications. It has been a week and the pharmacist has not heard back from them.

I've seen him 3 times for fillers. He walks in, talks fast, doesn't listen, he already knows what to do, right? He squeezes the stuff in and storms out. He left so fast, I thought he was coming back. Nurse came in, I asked for a mirror, no mirror. I was told to go to the bathroom to use a mirror. He never showed me the bottle even though I asked. And it didn't work, I went back but not much help. He's always available, no one waiting so what's the rush?
