Dr. Charina Tecson, MD

I met Dr. Tecson on a 14-hr flight to Los Angeles. I was so sick and she kept checking in on me. Even while she was seated 2 rows away from me, she would walk towards me to check. She even looked in the menu and told me which food I could eat and which I should avoid. She also walked with me all the way to the baggage claim area. She cared not only as a doctor but also as a kind-hearted human being. She’s the kind of doctor anyone would want to have.

Dr Tecson is the most caring and considerate doctor. I’ve been going to her for years. My mom and husband also have her as their doctor. She listens, diagnoses, and treats. I highly recommend her and I do as often as I can.

My 95 year old Mom has been a patient of Dr Tecson's for quite some time. Dr Tecson does not diagnose - she refers everything to a specialist - EVERYTHING. Today in the midst of a pandemic, her office was requiring my Mom to come in for an appointment to obtain refills on maintenance prescriptions. My Mom was last in the office February of 2019. Based on my Mom's age, kidney disease and the pandemic, my Mom could not come in a medical office because she is at risk. The office stated they are not letting people in with symptoms. I pointed out that people are carrying the virus without symptoms. There was no response except, "I understand." With her policies, Dr Tecson is violating the Hippocratic Oath of "do no harm". All this Dr and office care about is collecting co-pays and insurance payments, not about patient health and welfare. If I could give her a zero, I would. Dr. Tecson gives internal medicine a bad name.

Dr. Tecson constantly orders unnecessary tests. She does not listen to you. Knowing that I had an issue that needed immediate care and me reiterating to her how I was feeling, she sent me out without any care at all, nor did she suggest at any time to go to ER. Incidentally, I had to go to ER that evening. I feel Dr. Tecson is only interested in how many tests she can order and not concerned at all about a patient that may have anything more than a cold.

Great office staff, doctor has a good bedside manner; however, she constantly wants to order tests that are unnecessary. Even when I've had the test before, and tell her what the results are, she still insists I get all these expensive tests that are unnecessary. The tests expose me to too much radiation. She doesn't want to do anything other than refer you to specialists.

I have taken my father to tecson for years and in all that time she has never ever made a personal diagnosis. She sends us somewhere else, to someone else, or many other somewhere elses. It is beyond stupid. Pay co, get her check and she hardly even looks him over. I have gotten where i take him to urgant care or ER because she is so completely useless. He was in the hospital for a week and we are waiting on a ok for a very important prescription and she has not cleared it 3 days! Worthless!

Very Rude, No compassion, condescending. Would not examine us only took BP. Asked her to look at my husband's feet for his diabetes, she said, no, I don't do that. Told her we thought he had a mini stroke, she said go to a neurologist, didn't care. Told her he was incontinent, she said go to a urologist, she acted annoyed with us, said I don't do that. Wouldn't look at his list of meds, until I made her. Needed RX to replace broken Diabetic meter-said go to specialist. won't fill out SS.
