Dr. Charlene Lepane, DO

The doctor is nice enough, however the office was horrible to work with. They give you enormous wait times (2 months in between every appointment), and then won't honor them at the drop of a hat, calling you to reschedule another 2 months out! I called originally for an appointment in January, had a first visit in March, endoscopy in April, and followup for June. I got a call late May that the nurse (not even the doctor) suddenly isn't available, and want to push out my followup for April endoscopy to August! Ridiculous, how am I supposed to try working through my issues if I can't even talk to anyone?

The doctor was relatively good, but during the pandemic the entire office has gone downhill. They give you an appointment that is supposed to be in person, then on the day of the appointment, not only switch it from in person, but also from seeing the doctor to seeing the nurse. I was unwilling to have the appointment with a nurse, seeing as I needed to discuss my treatment options for a rare problem. I go to see a doctor for EXPERTISE. If she doesn't have more expertise than a nurse, then I need a new doctor, if she does, then it should be obvious why they can't make the substitution. I rescheduled rather than having a go nowhere conversation with the nurse. After two more months of waiting, they did the switcheroo on the day of AGAIN. I have waited over six months to see this doctor - when my regular physician was APPALLED that they couldn't get me in faster than the two months for the original appointment due to the severity of the problem. ANY other Dr. has to be better!!

Hard to contact after procedure is completed You will be left in limbo. The office or doctor will not answer the phone. When messages left they will NOT return your call

Well my first visit very pleasant and then when I call back to get my follow up appointment it was ridiculous and to get with the nurse practitioner I have to wait 4 months wen I am in a daily pain and the medicine that they prescribed is not working. I talked to Cristina which has no clue how the office is run. I asked to speak to the office supervisor and after waiting half and hour she then told me that the supervisor I guess was "too busy" in her office and could not answer my call. I asked if I could get a copy of my file and test that I did for me to find another doctor that can actually take care of patients and she said I needed an appointment for that as well. Then to get me out of the phone she said that she was transferring me to the supervisor and she transferred me to a voicemail.

My PCP reccomened that I contact Dr. LePanes office for a GI appointment. Eventhough she seems to have decent ratings for care her office staff is another story. I've tried numerous times in the last month to schedule, only to get a recording to leave a message and they will call. Unfortunately I cant trust a provider who can't even get their office to return a simple telephone call within a reasonable amount of time.

Similar to other reviewers, Dr. Lepane seemed great on my initial visit. I had an upper endoscopy done and she told my husband in the recovery room that she could clearly see what was causing my problem and she knew how to fix it. We were thrilled. After waiting over a month for my post op appointment, due to traffic conditions beyond my control, I was 10 minutes late for my appointment, and I was turned away, told that Dr. Lepane didn't have time to see me. I was rescheduled the following week to see the nurse practitioner, because it takes forever to get an appointment with the doctor. At the appointment with the nurse practitioner, we were told completely different information from what my husband was told post operatively. Since that time, we have attempted to get clarification from the doctor, either by phone or via the Adventhealth portal. This doctor absolutely refuses to spend 2 minutes to pick up the phone, or answer a simple yes no question to clarify this matter.

I had my first appointment with Dr. LePane in August 2019. I left feeling very positive. She ordered a bunch of tests then hugged me and told me she would get to the bottom of my digestive issues. I couldn't get all of the tests done far enough in advance of my follow up in September, so I resceduled. First appointment I could get was late October. Then they canceled due to "unforeseen circumstances". Next available appointment was December 5th. Was just canceled again due to the so-called "unforeseen circumstances". And now they can't get me in until FEBRUARY! I was really excited about working with Dr. LePane, but I need a doctor I can actually see in a timely manner.

Dr seemed ok during my visit but follow up is nonexistent. No one answers the phone, & the practice help act like they don't want to be bothered. I had a serious question after my visit, left at least 5 messages over two weeks, with detailed information & never got an answer. Over 2 weeks now & still Dr Lepane has not replied. And forget using the portal, that's a joke. I left several messages there too. I will be looking elsewhere for my care. Dr Lepane & office are disappointing.

Dr. Le pane is very personable. Unfortunately, tried reaching her office post procedure for 3 days with no success despite leaving detailed information. It was not until I emailed advent health did I get a call back. I ended cancelling all future apps due to lack of response or care by her staff. Very very frustrating and disappointing.

Phenomenal, never had a worry. Dr Lepane and her staff are the most professional team of care givers

After been looking for around for a gooddoctoe for a very long time I founded Dr Lepane. She’s truly amazing. She’s extremely knowledgeable, caring, passionate and professional. She took the time to listened to my concerns and made a plan of care for me. She explained every step the way. She's a great listener, asks the right questions, and is genuinely concerned about her patient’s well-being. I will give her 10 stars if I could!!

Dr LePane provides patients with a no nonsense evaluation of your gastroentrology needs. Along with her in depth speciality knowledge, her empathy to meet a patients needs are exemplary. She can help you explore noninvasive alternatives to determine if you need a colonoscopy, a huge plus in my opinion. Both my wife and I have fortunately been patients of Dr. LePane and pray that she will be able to continue to help Veterans.

Dr. Lepane gets TEN stars from me. After delaying a screening test for many years, she made the whole process as easy as possible. Her support staff is wonderful and she is a delight as a human being and as a doctor...RECOMMEND HER HIGHLY! Procedure was painless and fast... she is a star.
