Dr. Charles Bogdan, MD

I was referred for a surgery, the scheduler was in touch quickly. My first appointment w Dr. Bogdan was efficient and thorough. It's obvious they are high volume and very busy, but I felt they made sure I felt I had enough time and was comfortable. My operation was at Aultman, and it was on time, and his entire team was informative and authentically friendly. His nurse practitioner was at the hospital the following day and was also helpful and made me feel confident before I left. Excellent experience.

I recently had an unsettling experience with this practice due to a billing issue. It started when I was contacted in a quite aggressive manner over a sizable bill amounting to $3700. This incident came as a surprise and caused some unnecessary distress, given that I had Medicaid coverage at the time of treatment. The confusion around my bill seems to stem from an issue with processing my Medicaid coverage. Unexpectedly, a year later, I was informed that this large bill had become my responsibility. This unexpected complication felt rather unsettling and was not something I had anticipated when receiving treatment. However, I would like to balance this experience with the follow-up interactions I had with other staff members at the practice. One individual, in particular, was able to provide significant assistance in understanding and navigating the billing process. Their effort and willingness to help me navigate this confusing situation were greatly appreciated.

Excellent experience. I first learned of him while serving on the Stark County Grade jury where injured persons were interviewed by prosecutors before handing down indictments. His name constantly came up as the doctor who had treated, often surgically, their severe head, ear, nose and throat injuries They praised him for his excellent skills. He's to the point because he's incredibly busy but took enough time to examine my records and answer all questions. If I needed surgery, I would trust him. I recently went to see Dr. Bogdan as new patient. After giving all of my personal information and medications to the front desk lady where everyone can overhear. I Waited an hour and a half past my appointment time to be seen, which wouldn’t have bothered me at all if I would have been given the time of day for my appointment. I go back and tell the nurse what my issue is. The doctor comes in. Whom I have never meet. Doesn’t say hello. Just says he is going to look in my nose. And then a moment later tells me he cauterized it. I wish we could’ve discussed that before and also the need for it and potential causes of my issues. I also had another issue I needed to bring up but he darted out of the room before I had a chance to ask and he didn’t ask if I had any questions. When I left he was around the corner on his cell phone texting. I get doctors are very busy and they had a lot of patients all there to see him. But I left with no answers, more questions, and felt like a transaction.

Dr. Bogdan is an excellent physician, both professionally and personally. His office personnel is outstanding as well. Highly recommended.

Dr. Bogdan spent time explaining my condition and the surgery needed. He drew diagrams and answered my questions thoroughly. I have confidence in his care of me. He’s friendly and respectful and I feel comfortable with him. I didn’t have to wait long, even though I was a last minute appointment. The staff is friendly and helpful, the office is spotlessly clean and I’m very satisfied.

Absolutely the worst experience ever. Rude. Belittled me as well as past doctors I had been to. I should have left when the receptionist had the personality of a rock. What’s worse is that this was for a simple ear cleaning. I hate to have surgery. Then again you would be asleep so he could do whatever he wanted to. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!

Unfortunate. I was sent to Dr Bogdan for Menieres Disease. After a few minutes, he decided I needed a diuretic and hearing aids and sent me to his audiologist. On my 4th visit, after explaining the continued vertigo he actually asked me who I was seeing for that! I said you - that was my last visit. He paid more attention to his assistant than to me and my symptoms.

Charles Bogdan is a pompous jerk. His lack of care and compassion is only superseded by his self righteousness. He spent exactly 3 min. with my wife and I. He didn’t answer any questions, and actually walked out. We have been through enough stress the past 3 months that we didn’t need to have a bad experience with our doctor. I honestly walked out and couldn’t believe how we were treated. The next kick in the pants will be paying his rediculously overpriced bill. What a bad doctor.

Worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. Waited an hour and 15 min before being called back. Lucky if Doctor spent 3 min with me and I walked out in tears due to how rude he was. Will never go back there or refer him to anyone.

I saw Dr. Bogdan for a lump on my neck and the first time I saw him, he did a fine needle biopsy, scoped my throat and ordered a CT scan. He wasted no time. I had stage IV cancer. He did my neck dissection and I was happy with his results. Two years out, and no cancer. Thank you Dr. Bogdan!
