I was referred to Dr Cecil by my PCP after a high PSA test indicated possible prostate cancer. I was immediately put at ease by Dr Cecil’s confidence and obvious experience. When reviewing the results of a biopsy we discussed options, risks and expectations. We decided together that radical prostatectomy was the best course of action. He explained the use of the “Da Vinci surgical robot” with which he has done close to 500 of these procedures. After surgery Dr Cecil came to my room... It was great to hear his honest assessment of my condition. Five months post-surgery my PSA is close to 0 and everything happened just the way Dr Cecil predicted. Dr Cecil and his team focus on complete long term urological care, and I have complete confidence in his skills treating my cancer long term. He has partnered with me from day one with honesty and straight answers. I would recommend anyone facing the trauma of prostate cancer, or any urological issues, to consult with Dr Cecil and his staff.

Prostrate growing up into bladder causing urinating problems. This was killing my kidneys because bladder could not drain. Was diagnosed by primary care Doctor as stage 4 renal failure. Dr. Cecil did terp surgery and saved my life. Just 3 months later, I am over surgery and kidneys functioning normal. I would heartily recommend this surgery for any one that was considering it.

I went to Dr. Cecil a couple years ago about my Prostate . He was very informative and to the point. Dr. Cecil preformed my Prostate surgery and it has been very successful. No issues after surgery and for the last three years no issues. I recommend Dr. Cecil and his staff they did a great job, Dr. Cecil and his staff were great before, during and after the surgery.

Dr. Cecil performed a complete nephrectomy removing my left kidney due to a tumor being identified. I appreciated the manner in which he discussed the matter with me and provided my options. Surgery and recovery went very well. His nurses were extremely kind and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Cecil.

Dr Cecil removed my prostate a year ago, though I had a few complications right after surgery, I feel he took great care of me both during the surgery and recovery period as well as now at post-op appointments. Always takes time to discuss any questions I have. Has a great bed-side manner.

Dr Cecil repaired my bladder which was cut during a hysterectomy. It was an emergency and he accepted my transfer from Hendrick South to Hendrick Medical Center. This was during the merger of Abilene Regional and Hendrick and the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Cecil came in and made the repair. He explained the procedure and what I would have to do until mu bladder was healed. His kindness and expertise made this very difficult situation bearable.

I've never been to a clinic before in my life where it seems most, if not all of the staff, were in extreme dire need of communication skills with their patients. Very obnoxious, do not return phone calls in any sort of timely method after leaving phone messages with nurses. They say they return calls only at noon and after 4 p.m., but that never happened. In office visit was horrible in their ability to relate to someone. Once I was able to see the doctor, the experience was very professional. Associate staff left much to be desired. Not a one time visit, but happened over four visits.

Dr Cecil removed troublesome kidney stones and gave me helpful advice on the side effects of my pain medicines. Very good and very professional.
