Deferred procedure
Dr Harris was my Retina Specialist for a retina detachment. On the second detachment, he refused to see me and told me I needed to go see a specialist in Atlanta as no one in Savannah could help me. He was wrong. Georgia Eye was able to correct the issue, only after I had to change insurance companies and go to the Mayo Clonic in Jacksonville which was 1.5 hours away for procedures and follow-ups. By making me wait and find my own way to get help, my detachment went too long past the macula and I lost vision in my right eye. He could have referred me locally but said no one could fix it locally.

Dr. Harris has performed four delicate surgeries on my best friends eye. I not only see the wonderful, sensitive way he handles her issues but his other patients as well. She has had very serious issues and he handles them professionally, responsively, calmly and in a caring manner. He is also a good Christian man who believes in the power of prayer. One cannot ask any more of a doctor than these attributes IMHO. He is a great surgeon & I would have him operate on my eyes should the need arise.

I had a 1pm appointment with this doctor and waited in his office until 4:30pm and was then called back. His nurse put a few drops in my eyes and sent me back to the waiting room. After about 20mins they called me back again and I talked with the Dr. for about a minute and he looked into my eyes with a pocket magnifying glass. He then told me he had seen a "Freckle" on one eye and that he would have to keep a close watch on it and that I should make a follow-up appointment. No EXAM preformed

Have only the highest praise for Dr. Charles Harris and his staff. I had a minute piece of scar tissue which was causing me many problems, such as falling, distorted depth perception and some more issues. I contacted him for a 2nd opinion after my opthalmologise & former retinal specialist disagreed about removal. After Dr. Harris removed the scar tissue, I was amazed at the difference in my vision! He i a bright, interested, skilled surgeon. His staff is warm & caring.
