He’s The Best!!
Dr Mayes has been my husband’s and my cardiologist for 9 years. He has cared for us through both major and minor heart surgeries. His down-to-earth manner is very reassuring. I would highly recommend DrMayes. I cannot say enough good things about him.

The Best
I have been seeing Dr Mayes for about 9 years now and I would not even consider seeing another Dr. I trust him to the fullest, with my life... He is a Good man not to mention a great Dr. Seldom do you come across someone who is genuine in every since of the word. Dr. Mayes is an Outstanding Cardiologist
My wife and I are both patients of Dr. Mayes. We have previously been patients of other cardiologists, but none offer the quality of care provided by Dr. Mayes and his staff. He is simply the best. He takes the time to answer all questions and thoroughly explains test results and office examination findings.

Doesn’t return urgent calls
Called twice Wednesday and then Friday with urgent questions about medications and no one ever called back. In severe pain but no point in going to hospital because pain medication is based on cardiologist that won’t call back

Saw a PA once, and his office refused to treat me
My mother had been a patient for years, and once when needing to see Dr. Mayes, he was unavailable and they referred her to a PA. After that visit, we went back down for her annual appointment and was told she cannot see him anymore since she saw the PA, and that the PA was her 'doctor' now. He obviously doesn't care about keeping his patients. Find someone else.

I hit the lottery!
Very hard to pick a good Cardiologist when you are in a coma and facing 56 days in ICU, but did I ever get lucky when Fate put this player on my team. 3 years later and he is still just as concerned as he was on Day One. Thanks to all the Saints!!!

Great Doctor!!!
Dr. Mayes really cares about his patients and spends ample time listening to their concerns. He has an assistant go over vitals, and then another physician assistant talk to you and then they discuss everything before he walks in so he has everything he needs to know before he helps you. Very congenial and concerned for your health.
