Condescending
Although he helped with my issue it was like pulling teeth. He was hateful and condescending the entire time. Just because I didn't go to medical school doesn't mean I didn't go to school at all. He sure treated me like I was an idiot.

Dr Payne
I have bladder cancer, Dr Payne keeps a very close eye on it and is a great, caring and very attentive and professional. I would not trust my care to anyone else. Excellent Dr!

Unprofessional
By far the worst experience I've ever had. Dr. Payne doesn't deserve to be licensed. I wouldn't trust him to care for anyone ever.

5 years ago, my husband's prostate cancer metastasized to his spine. We were given almost no guidance and had no further contact from Dr. Payne, whom we had both liked and trusted. It was a frightening time during which we were without much direction until he died a painful death 5 months later. I understand that doctors don't like to feel they have "failed," but there surely are ways to help a patient transition to a palliative phase.

We were visiting from out of town and the scheduling staff were able to work me in immediately after an ER visit & referral. Front office staff & Nurse were great. You won't wait long before being called back and seeing the Dr. Dr. Payne was professional, knowledgeable, empathetic, explanatory giving me confidence that my medical issue would resolve. If I lived in Kingsport, he'd absolutely be the Urologist I'd be seeing if I had any urinary problems.

I had a 230 pm Friday appointment. On Thursday I was contacted by his office and asked if I could move my appointment up because of a scheduling conflict. (surgery). Only to find out the next day that my appointment was changed because they want to get out of the office as early as possible on Friday's. I may understand if I were just having urination issues but I have a mass on one of my Kidneys. I will not be back to them if I can avoid it.

I recently began seeing Dr. Payne for my medical issue that has been going on for quite some time. So far, I am very impressed with Dr. Payne's professionalism and knowledge. He immediately began scheduling & running tests concerning my Urological problem. After thoroughly discussing treatment options with me (going forward), one was decided upon and will be completed soon. I highly recommend Dr. Payne and feel very confident in his ability to treat my medical condition.
