Pleasantly Surprised
After reading the reviews for Dr. Reel and his staff, I had to leave a review myself. I cannot speak for patient's experiences in the past, but I made an appointment with Dr. Reel in May as he was able to get me in quickly. I have been to his office four times in the past couple months, and never had a single negative experience. Office was clean, the staff was lovely, always polite and (specifically Lacey and another staff member whose name I unfortunately cannot remember) were very personable and made me feel very comfortable.Dr. Reel was polite, professional, and very thorough. He is not what I would describe as 'chatty', but I didn't go to him for small talk either so I didn't mind at all. He does go through the neurological exam quickly, but that is because he has so much experience and knows what he is looking for and what it will look like when he sees it. I only met Ms. Touch briefly, but I liked her a lot and she seemed very knowledgeable! Would recommend!

Satisfied family
My visits to Dr Reel have convinced me to look no further to find a competent neurologist. Apart from his remarkable ability to diagnose complex medical issues he is a true gentleman. My elderly parents get such comfort with his gentle demeanor and look forward to visiting him. My daughter visits him for help with her migraines. Thank you Dr Reel

Appointment was scheduled for the late afternoon, but found out after arriving that they had scheduled us for their posted closing time. Front desk staff was rude and rushed us because they were ready to leave at the time we walked in for the appt. We providing a plethora of information to the staff member who we spent you on the phone before this appointment as we were a new patient to their practice however none of that information was relayed to the doctor and the records that they requested were from only one source and were in complete so the doctor had no idea what testing had already been done with the patient, had no results because the front of the house staff did not relay any of the information or request any information from the appropriate doctors before the appt. I also brought complete medical records from the primary care doctor with me but when I offered them, the staff stated they didn't want them but to give to the doctor and IF he wanted them, he would ask them to make copies. When we saw the doc it quickly became apparent that he had no information from the previous neurologist, or any idea that the patient had ever been to another neurologist, nor any of the neurological testing that had been done and REPEATED, in the past year even though I provided a detailed description of everything procedure, test, etc., as well as, who did the testing, where each had taken place, and results we had received when I talked to the staff member (presumably one of the doctor's assistants) before scheduling this appointment SEVERAL weeks prior. The doctor said he "didn't have time" for me to look through the documentation I brought with me to find the information he needed and that he didn't want the records. He said he would have one of the girls request the records from each of the doctors' offices and that we would have to come back for another appointment after he had what he wanted from those doctors. Their office is about an hour away from where we live and the patient was clearly struggling with balance and other issues related to a previous stroke, yet he just didn't care. He showed no empathy or patience for this 85 year old woman and her desperate struggle to find out what is causing her condition, as well as to improve or resolve that issue. He was a huge disappointment!!! Now, this patient has to come back another day (struggling to maneuver to get down the stairs at home, an hour each way to the office, and then a rude staff and doctor) to hopefully get some answers and improve and get better.

I saw this practice for over 10 years for treatment of migraines and neck pain.. As a patient I tried everything they recommended . I had every test imaginable. There were only 2 medications that helped and Dr. Reel decided he wasn’t going to prescribe those any longer I saw a specialist they said I needed surgery after that surgery he kicked me out of his practice and refused to tell my primary dr why? His office staff lacks professionalism especially the office manager she is rude .

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Reel after receiving results of a pinched nerve on my spinal cord and osteoarthritis. I was desperate t find relief, even temporary. Instead, I was treated like a condition, not a patient. He had absolutely zero interest in the pain or discomfort I was dealing with. I came in with such hope and left feeling utterly hopeless and disgusted that I wasted more time and money with a doctor who could care less.

Would not recommend. Ordered all kinds of tests, told us the results, but offered no real suggestions for the issues at hand. Told us to followup with him in 3 months. The tests he ordered were thousands of dollars -- paid for by medicare and BCBS. Obviously he got what he wanted from the testing. He would not complete some paperwork that was requested of him. Office staff said their policy is to not complete forms. Told me to have another dr do it.That was the point of going to a specialist.
