I had a hip replacement. Dr. Rutherford is the best!

I recently had an excellent visit with Dr. Rutherford and his friendly staff. I had been told by another physician that I need a hip replacement on my right hip. I new immediately that, if I was to have a hip replacement, I wanted Dr. Rutherford to do it. Working with Dr. Rutherford, we are taking a more conservative approach and I appreciate that.

I was a pleasant visit. He listened well and was interested in helping me with my issue.

I had a shoulder issue and Dr. Rutherford was very thorough and explained everything. Got a cortisone shot and some exercises to do, and my shoulder feels much better.

Very informative, respectful, on time , very clean, staff was very pleasant. I would give excellent rating.

Rutherford and his staff have me pain free and walking 18 holes of golf. They are competent, friendly and give great service.

Dr. Rutherford did a hip replacement for me in October of 2014. The results were very successful. I recently returned to set up the same surgery on the other hip. Everyone in the office is very professional, and they take time to listen and answer any questions that I might have.

Dr. Rutherford has been my joint doctor for 3 years. Every time I visit the staff is professional, efficient and friendly. He replaced one hip and is about to replace the other. I would highly recommend Dr. Rutherford.

I am very pleased with the knee replacement surgery I had on Dec. 18. Dr. Rutherford replaced my right knee 10 years ago and my left knee in Dec. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. I have recommended him to friends and will continue to.

From the original o.v. to testing and pre-op visit all personnel have been absolutely amazing. Nurses called regularly to inform about impending procedures. It has been a relief.

Dr. Rutherford replaced both of my hips. The left one in 2005 and the right one in 2006. Hips are still working great and that is why I decided to have him replace both of my knees in 2020. The left one in Feb. 2020 and the right one layer in the year.

Dr. Rutherford was recommended to me by a family friend, who had a hip replacement performed by him. I have had only a consultation with him so far, but was very favorably impressed with him and his staff. Unlike other orthopedic surgeons that I have seen, he is not only very professional and knowledgeable, but he listens to you and treats you with dignity and respect. He gives you the best options for resolving your condition, and does not try to pressure you into surgery. I will be scheduling my procedure with him in the near future.

When I suffered a shoulder injury recently I had no second thoughts about who I wanted to seek medical opinion from. I previously had both my hips replaced by Dr Rutherford in 2004 and 2015. He executed those 2 operations so successfully so much so that 15 years on my left hip is showing little signs of wear and the right hip is just as good. He reviews the symptoms and offers options and opinion that provide the patient with an informed diagnosis.He does not immediately jump to the conclusion that surgery is the only option - he twice has indicated to me that other options are initially the best course of action. He has an experienced and patient friendly team to support him. He and his team are professional in approach and from my personal experience, experts in what they do. I unreservedly would recommend Dr Rutherford and his team.

Dr Rutherford and his staff were professional and efficient. There was little wait and this doctor & office visit was one of the best that I have ever had. Follow up was needed for additional testing and everything was handled accurately and quickly. Dr. Rutherford and his staff have greatly exceeded my expectations.

Prior to my L Hip Replacement 1 year ago, I had been unable to go about my everyday life due to chronic pain, limited movement and difficulty walking up and down my stairs. I had to request wheelchair assistance when I flew because I could not walk nor stand for lengths of time. I wasn’t making my bed normally, electing to fold my flat sheet in half and sleep between sides because making the bed was too painful. I was unable to work. Dr Rutherford literally gave me my life back when he replaced my hip: After just 5 weeks, I was able to walk up and down my stairwell normally. After 3 months, I was walking between 10,000 - 14,000 plus steps over brick and cobblestone streets in Europe’s old Mediterranean cities, enjoying climbing stairs in order to view the Mediterranean from atop high walls surrounding ancient ports, never lagging behind the rest of the tour groups. Thank you, Dr Rutherford, for giving me my back my life! A big thank you to all of Dr Rutherford’s positive staff.

I selected Dr. Rutherford based on the recommendation of physical therapists I was using. The experience was much better than I expected based on earlier experience with another doctor. The only negative aspect was that I didn't enjoy the spinal but I also don't like heavy sedation so there was a trade off. And that wasn't Dr. Rutherford, of course. I was very surprise at how quickly I healed and how little pain I had.
