Dr. Charles Slocumb, MD

Dr. Slocumb is completely unprofessional, prioritized his gossip session over patient care and appts. He also doesn’t communicate with your regular o.b. after every visit you will be worried about your pregnancy, they always make it seem as if someone is wrong.. Would give zero stars if I could avoid this place at all costs it should be shut down.

I went for my ultrasound at 8 weeks but because they didn’t do it vaginally, I was told I was 5 weeks. 10 days later my real doctor calls saying my baby had no heartbeat. Dr Slocumb didn’t mention that. So I went to ER to find out for sure & it was confirmed that I was going to miscarry. I went back today 14 days after my first ultrasound & he wanted to do more blood work. Still did’t mention it. I asked why if my baby as no heartbeat? He said let’s not jump to conclusions that we didn’t know. He said “you can still be too early for a heartbeat” 3 ultrasounds showed no heartbeat but he still didn’t plan on telling me. Just sending me home thinking my baby is ok. I said this is my pregnancy, I want answers! He tells me “At your first ultrasound I wasn’t able to confirm, but I guess today I can confirm that your baby is dead!” I asked if he would have told me if I hadn’t said anything & he told me I can go home believing whatever I want. Dr Slocumb is a joke & extremely rude!

Dr slocumb has no sense of urgency & did not recommend a cerclage when he should have especially knowing my history of a previous preterm loss. He didn't seem to care or be concerned when he very clearly should have. It was also not made aware to me that he was only consulting and did not preform the procedure (cerclage) but my OB was the on who would actually do it... if I had known I would have contacted my OB right away and possibly had a chance to save my baby...

Helped us during our high risk pregnancy.

I had to wait over 3 hours. Appt at 7:30, Dr Slocumb walked through the waiting room at 8:30 to start his morning. I only needed a consultation but after almost 2 hours of waiting in the waiting room, I was told I need to have an ultrasound before I could even speak to the Dr. After I left and rescheduled the appt, I had to have an ultrasound, Slocumb was rude and unhelpful.
