I’m not really one to leave reviews, BUT … in this case … I just had to! See, I’m from METTER, and my knee hurt like the devil. I heard Dr. Spivey was the best (at Optim) so I made the decision to go see him. I had surgery at that hospital in Reidsville and OMG, it was the most wonderful experience. Anyways, make sure, if you have any orthopedic needs, go see him. You’ll be “happy” that you did!

I've had 3 surgeries by this clinic. All 3 went great! After reading some of these reviews, I'd say that I don't mind waiting a little longer for services provided by providers that care about my outcome. And being orthopedics, they handle injuries that happen the same day so wait times can sometimes vary. It's good to know that we have an orthopedic that is willing to work longer days to take care of such injuries. Also, the billing department was very nice. They explained that postop does not have a copay for services related to the surgical site. However, if treated for a different body part during the postop period, insurance does require a copayment. Super friendly people! I'd give 5 stars!

Dr. Spivey did a total knee replacement to both of my knees. I healed quicker than expected. He also did repair surgery on both of my shoulders. He is an excellent surgeon. His two PA's are outstanding in what they do. I would highly recommend him to anybody needing orthopedic help. I have never had to wait a long time for my appointments.

No communications from office or nurses , bad to deal with and attitude from them. No one ever calls back. Waited hours in waiting Room past my appointment. The attitude from the nurse because they did 33 people ahead of me, I told her you all scheduled my appointment, I didn't pick it.

I've been using Dr. Spivey for over 10 yrs for myself and my family. He and his staff are the absolute best at what they do. Over the years they have become like a second family to this accident prone bunch of mine ! He has done a RTK, 4 rotator cuff repairs, several meniscus repairs, and I lost count of other things that he has had to do to help keep me mobile. I have severe arthritis and am not the most graceful person ! I recommend them to everyone I know !

While a post-op patient, I met someone who needed surgery but was going elsewhere because "we don't like the way Mark Spivey does business." Now I understand. I was told that post-op visits were included but was then billed for some of them. They have applied my payments to charges that my insurance company says are "provider responsibility." It has been my responsibility to find their billing errors. If you must use this provider get EVERYTHING in writing and watch your bill like a hawk.
